after writing about a problem with IE6.0 last night, Iwas told that I might try downloading Firefox.
Now for some reason it's website will not let me download it. you know when you move your cursor over the tab or area that says download now, nothing happens

3. Just thought I'd jump in here |
|
As I switched to firefox yesterday myself. And I am so pleased that I did. A problem I'm having though is that it doesn't load by itself when I log on. IE still starts even though Tools/Options says firefox is the default. Is there maybe another folder I need to go into and reset? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by this new and ever so happy Mozilla gal. :bounce:

4. Might be in the Startup folder. |
|
I'm not sure why IE would be included among the Startup programs, but you could check this:
From the Windows Start menu, select Programs|Startup.
If IE is among the programs in the Startup folder, right-click on it.
Select Delete from the resulting menu. Click Yes at the Deletion prompt.
Programs in the Startup folder are automatically started when you boot up the computer. I don't remember that IE is normally one of them, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's somehow managed to sneak in there.
Hope this helps! Firefox is truly excellent--check out the Extensions some time! AdBlock is wonderful--haven't seen a Vonage ad in weeks. :toast:
