*Provided its a NTFS drive. You can set paswords on shares and use folder level encryption. Its under properties.

If your drive is FAT/FAT32 you should strongly concider transitioning it to NTFS. However the reasions for and against are beyond the scope of the post. The short version is unless you are dual booting WIN95/98/ME you should be useing NTFS.
