uninterruptible power supply
I'm looking for an uninterruptible power supply for my computer. Is that something I can get at a place like Target or do I need to go to a specialty store like Radio Shack? Or where...

And are there any specifications I should understand? This will just be used for my desktop machine.

Thanks, I'm pretty clueless.

2. APC is a big name brand and is actually of decent quality.
I've the BX1000 (Back-UPS XS 1000) for my main machine and I've got plenty of power left to hook up another computer/monitor if I so desired.

3. I have APC and like it very much
It gives me 15 minutes after a power interruption to shut down the computer. The only thing I wish is that there was more software and control than there is tho now that I say that I'm having some difficulty remembering exactly what my needs were on that issue, so

4. APC or TripLite
You can mail order them, but they're pretty heavy, so the shipping may run a little high. I recommend at least a 400 va unit.
