does your cat TALK?
I don't mean the mew-mew or the meow-meow -- I mean real words...

The grande dame of our house is 19 years old -- and she does talk in real words...

when going to the vet we hear "Nooo, Nooo, Nooo", while at the vet's office she says "Oooout", on the way home it's "Hooome, Hooome"

recently we took her to the vet for a stuffy nose -- she had been on some liquid anti-biotics but it didn't seem to be working. The vet gave us a choice of trying another round of the liquid or to go to another anti-biotic that only comes in pill form.

My partner and I were discussing the pros and cons of trying to get a pill down the cat's throat and the vet said "so you want to try the liquid again?"

The cat said quite clearly -- "Noooo" -- we went with the pills

The other night while cooking supper, my partner dropped a fork on the kitchen floor, it fell in front of the cat. The cat looked at it and said "uhh ohh"

2. She definitely does
I'll ask her if she wants something and it will either come out whiney "no" or a very enthusiastic "Yeah!" I had another cat about 12 years ago who sounded like she said "Mum." It seems the females I've had have been chattier than the male cats tho.

3. My dad had a cat like that
named Pippin. If he was left alone in the house, we could hear him wailing for his people to return. He would call "Wayne! Lynn! Braaad! Weelaa!(Shelia)" He had other words as well. It was kind of creepy.

I've seen plenty of dogs that were shown "speaking", but you don't see as many cats featured who can do the same. I have no doubt that there are more of them out there, though!

5. We have one of those
Our crazy-ass black cat will wander the house, clearly calling our names. If you hear your name and call her, she comes running. You're right, it IS creepy, especially considering that this cat is pretty well brain dead in most respects.

4. Pad Thai is loud
but Lily is more conversational and expressive. I've heard Pad Thai say "Ma-ma" though!
