RIP Leon 1997-2005
Leon was the beloved pet of family friends, who died recently of heart problems. Leon was a VERY friendly cat, always eager to make new pals. He would jump from person to person and work the room like a politician working a fundraiser. His father was so upset that he had a vet autopsy Leon because of his unexpected death, and found Leon had an undiagnosed heart condition. Leon, we will miss you.

1. I am so sorry. What a lovely cat!
One of those "tuxedo" cats. I was just talking to a lady, yesterday, who adopted a cat like this, who was, initially, terrified, but has settled in and become a lap cat. He's lovely and you and your friends have my sincere sympathies. I have lost three cats in my life, and losing each ripped my heart out. He's a beautiful boy, and I also had what they called "a necropsy" done on my beloved cocker spaniel, Barney. He was 18, but it was sudden, and I needed to know what happened. You have to understand. I still miss my Barney and my kitties, and I know what you and your friends are going through. Losing a pet can often be harder than losing a person, since they are always there. I'll be thinking of all of you.

3. My condolences to your friends. Leon was much too young...and so handsome.
I can understand why your friend was so devastated...
Perhaps he can find some solace by rescuing a cat from being euthanized in Leon's memory

4. He is going to get a new cat from the SPCA soon
He is actually my parent's friend, but Leon was a friend to all of us.

Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family. And 8 years is no age for cats. Remember the good times you had with him. He will be waiting for you at another sphere
