The mayor of Kittenopolis (dialup warning)
Here he is, the Mayor of Kittenopolis ( or as he prefers "the King"):

He is ever watchful over the young citizens of kittenopolis:

It can be a demanding job, as kittenopolis gets pretty rowdy at night!

Sometimes the Mayor just has to join in the fun:

But when the partying is over, the Mayor soothes the savage little beasts to sleep:

Long live the Mayor of kittenopolis!

4. Aren't they all?
Every time I'm adopting out a cat or kitten, I find myself saying "This is just the best little cat in the whole world", because each of them are, in their own ways. :-)

5. I did hear male Maine Coons make excellent daddy kitties
I see it with my own four eyes; first with my Sylvester (may he rest in peace), and now with Obie.

6. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!
That is the ultimate in cuteness. And talk about regal. That cat is majestic. More like a king than a mayor. I'm overloaded with fluffiness. I might explode. :)

I agree with most here.
The first word that comes to my mind IS "Regal".

11. While I was trying to capture the kittens playing
I kept cursing to myself that none of them were "hooping Bug" or "Bug on a tree" quality action photos. One big problem;digital cameras always delay a little bit, and you can never anticipate when a kitten is about to leap!

12. Is that Nimue and Calliope?
If so, they're looking healthy and frisky.

I love a little patched tabby face.

Not going to suggest the calendar again, but that picture of the Mayor and the sleeping kitten...

13. Yep, they go to their new home tomorrow
their recovering from their spay today, poor things. They were so small when they first arrived:

But how they've grown!

From some angles, Nim looks almost unchanged!

I'll miss them (and so will Obie).

14. To separate homes, are were they adopted as a pair?
Their faces look SO much like my own little brown-patch tabby (or calico/tabby) with those big green eyes all out of proportion with the rest of their faces.

15. As a pair
A single lady with one other cat is taking them. She's a quintessential "cat lady"; little neat-as-a-pin home decorated with cat prints, pillows, and a few figurines. Cat cartoons on the 'fridge, and a china cabinet full of collectible dolls along one wall (contrast to my home; not so neat with plenty of cats but no decorative cat items-the only collectibles are shelves of antique books). She lost one cat to cancer earlier this year, so her remaining kitty is lonely. Sweet lady, but I fear she's a repug (loves country music and Fox). No matter though; she's devoted to her kitties, and that's all that matters for Nimue and Calliope.

if it is by a Repug

:( ..just a little sad thought of that courageous lioness in the kitten's body...sorry. She will always have a spot in my heart.

Hope your fundraising in her memory has been very successful...

25. Only paid off about half of the $700 bill so far
but I'm still working at raising funds. Vet costs are so high these days that we're having real funding trouble, especially since panleukapenia and parvo have hit our rescue so hard this year. :-(

I sure do miss little Hecate, but I'm so relieved that her sisters managed to survive and find such a loving home!

17. Hail to the CHIEF!!
Long live the KING!

God, Lorien those photos were precious, the one of Obi washing the kitten made me tear up and cry...how priceless.

Yes, we are experiencing our own "rowdy time" in Kittenopolis, although Flummi has calmed down since his brother left for Pittsburgh. The Daemon has taken to calling for the kitten, so they are slowly bonding. And Flummster is turning into a beautiful boy, time for some updated pix from us.

Thanks for sharing that, you again, made my day.

19. Oberon might be king of kittenopolis
But Sterling is the Emperor of Senior Cat City.

How did Sterling and Oberon get along when Sterling was there?

20. Is Sterling a Persian?
His face seems flatter than a Coonie or Angora, but not the "squashed face" that a certain cat association that shall remain nameless (but whose initials are C.F.A.) seem to want to inflict on the breed.

21. He is a persian...
a silver Persian, and registered with CFA, as a matter of fact. He is 10 years old, and had one owner from 6 weeks old to 10 years old, then came to me a couple of months ago through Lorien's rescue group when his original owner couldn't keep him anymore.

Very regal. He just need a red kimono. ;-)

Obie was frightened of Sterling when he was here, lol! Hell, Oberon was terrified of PUCK when I first brought her home, and she only weighed 2 1/2 pounds!

23. Lorien! I got another letter and PHOTOS from Sterling's orig. owner
Just today, in fact. She sent some old photos of him when he had his winter coat. OMG, I've never seen so much fur on a cat! He looked like a puffball in those photos. Guess I have it to look forward to when the weather gets cooler. I doubt he'll stop shedding, though.

I called her as soon as I finished reading her letter. She was really glad to hear from me and to hear how he is doing. She is leaving for a trip for a month to europe, so I guess I won't hear from her again for a while. She sounded very happy to hear how well Sterling is doing.

Hugs,
Bella

30. Nothing recent, but here's a few "unpublished" pics;
(he's still getting over a nasty case of chin acne-so no pics for several months now :-()

Baby Obie (far right):

At first Miro wasn't thrilled with his new housemate:

but then they really did become two peas in a pod!

Young Oberon, with an even younger Puck:

My, how they grew:

The big boy today:

35. I haven't posted pics of Jezebel since she was teeny tiny.
I will as soon as I have a little extra time.

The Pet forum helped me a lot when she, and her sibs, were just babies.

Your cat is just beautiful. Those photos are so excellant too - you really should do a book!

catch you later with photos!
