Calypso (new kitty) ambushes DOG :)
we are still in the process of intergrating Calypso into the family. She's under close supervision and allowed some run of the house.

Last night we had her on the bed, playing with a toy mouse. our big boy Greyhound, Sunny, (70-75 pounds) curled up at the bottom of the bed and pretty much ignored the kitten's antics. He kept an eye on her for a few moments, then went to sleep.

Sunny started to dream, and his feet were a twitching. I guess the lure of twitching toes was too much for Calypso -- she hunched down, wiggled her butt and POUNCED on his feet. Sunny woke up, whimped and tucked his feet in tighter. Calypso then went after his tail....

Sunny gave up and went to sleep on his pillow on the floor.

Quite a sight to see a 70+ pound down being attacked by a 2-pound kitten... lolol

Already taking over the house. Train that doggie!

I love cats :). Torties are especially wonderful!

My tortie toe hunter - Mischief. She weasles under the covers and down to my feet - and then attacks. While I'm trying to sleep. I have to sit her outside my room and close the door, nightly.

6. That's the best Mischief pic yet!
I love that expression.

For some reason, I've always found torties and callies the best at giving the "you better do what I say...or else" look.

8. Quinn is a very pretty cat.
Is it a boy? Quinns name sounds male.

10. Yes, he's a he :)
I happened to be listening to the Dylan tune "The Mighty Quinn" when he was brought into my office as an infant fluffball, so he got the name instantly :)

11. Indeed he is.
Of course, he's even more often known as "Hey You!" "Goddammit" and "Fuzzbutt" :)

I'd like to see a 2 pound cat playing with a 70 pound dog's tail.

4. Is that a different song than the sex pistols one?
The one that went we're so pretty, I'm so pretty etc.?

I don't know "I feel pretty" but it looks like it could apply to the punk pistols tune.

That's the number from "West Side Story." Which, I will grant, is well before your time...hey, it's almost before my time.

Now, who are these "Sex Pistols" you speak of? ;-)

12. ok, I give up.... where is
the "OFF" button on kittens?

I've come to the conclusion that there either isn't an OFF button or it's been disabled...

because she's so tiny and the dogs so large - we are concerned about her being accidently hurt. We try to keep a close eye on her while she is "exploring" the house... yeah - right.... she's gassed up with high octane and the throttle is wide open...

:D

races up the bed, pounces on the pillows, dives for the dogs, leaps off the bed and scoots into the kitchen under the table... then it's a few quick laps into and out of the bathroom and it starts all over again...

although I discovered that tissue paper and a shoe box will keep her occupied for a few SHORT minutes...
