Help interpreting a dream

I hope you don't mind helping another ASAH'er with a mystifying dream. I just remember bits and pieces and just can't figure it out.

Someone showed me into a new apartment and I focused on a particular wall and decided to redecorate it with a shower curtain. I stood on a ladder and put the shower curtain up against the wall and then I said I need thumb tacks to keep it up.

The next thing I recall is that I was outside and standing new a store or a take out place with maybe a picnic table near it. I saw a couple I used to be friends with (we live thousands of miles apart). I spoke to the woman and it was nice and polite. Then she whispered to her husband and the two of them ignored me and left, giving me the cold shoulder. I was hurt.

I don't remember anything else.
Doesn't sound very pleasant, does it?

5. Here's something that may or may not resonate

You are making do with something or providing cover for something you don't think will last. And you are concerned that others you care about it know it but aren't admiting they know.

Many hugs to you. I know what it's like to have dream 'hangover'. Hopefully the clue will show up here eventually if I didn't hit it.
