It was my birthday today.

August 31, that is.

I am beginning to get a cold. I haven't had very good birthdays for the last couple of years. But I am feeling hopeful that if I can get through this fall with no major mishaps, things will improve for me spiritually, in my work and in my personal relationships.

My family is great. They have been supportive of me during this anxiety laden year.

I hate to keep sounding like I feel sorry for myself. Many people here have serious problems. I have a home, a good family, and a fairly secure, though not wealthy financial situation. (Monetary wealth has never meant much to me. If we have enough, I am happy with that).

You guys help me when I feel anxious. I am glad that I can come here. Thank you.

In reference to you "sounding like I feel sorry for myself", your feelings are your feelings. There's always someone who has it worse than we have it, but that doesn't change the fact that you're unhappy about something that's going on in your life. I'm glad that coming here helps during those times.
