Worst case scenario!
Hope I'm not reposting this and hope this is the right group and not necessarily the scifi group.
BUT have you seen the worst case scenario video of the movie 2012??? http://www.fancast.com/ Absolutely thrilling and horrifying!

1. Wow.
I wasn't going to see it; but now think I'll have to just for the camp factor.

I think it was David Wilcock who was asking for "equal time" to tell a more likely scenario. He's making a film too.

7. I know! I usually don't go to the movies.
I guess I'm becoming more and more like my mother. "Why go when it's eventually be on TV and you can see it for free?"  Used to drive me crazy as a kid.

It is imperative that Wilcock does this. I just don't appreciate that this distortion could be floating around in the subconscious of many.

8. Yeah, but did it have the cool video :)
Thanks for the link though. I thought I'd seen it but just didn't check far back enough to find it. I really don't believe in the disaster but I love good sci-fi.

3. I say...
:P :P :P

Not to you, KoB--to Emmerich's movie.

I do have to thank him, however--seeing those trailers provided the "hook" I needed to get my epic 2012 article off the ground. (The article came out pretty well, I think, and my editor didn't edit it much at all, so it's a 4,000+ word opus--zoinks!--plus a second article on the Mayan calendar, PLUS a sidebar on Shift symptoms. I can send a link to whoever's interested, once the issue goes online, with some LOVELY graphics. That should be in about a month.)

And yes, part of the point of my article was to provide a balanced view of 2012 in order to keep people from buying into the disaster option and freaking out.

4. I can't wait to read it....

I'm very anxious to read the fruits of your labor of late. :)

I'm frustrated, too. The novel coming out in the spring is the first in a four-part series, and my intention was for it to tie in with the 2012 prophecy, in a much more positive, inspiring light than the doomsday stuff we'll be bombarded with. Since it went the traditional publishing route, the timeframes won't work. I'd rather self-publish and have more control. :( But my cohort was insistent upon traditional publishing.

Looking forward to your article. If only to compare symptoms and figure out if I'm Ascending or Descending...

6. I saw a preview in a theater the other day--I remarked to my friend I would
probably go see this movie for "shits and giggles." The special effects are certainly amazing. That big changes are coming I don't doubt, but I don't think it'll be world-wide catastrophe.

10. I agree with you, Mist.
I don't believe the shift will be that cataclysmic. But living in California and seeing it go under like that sure is terrifying :scared: I wonder how far inland I'd have to move. Probably to Nevada. I'm certainly going for the shits and giggles.

12. Keep in Mind this is the same Director as The Day After
Edited on Sun Oct-04-09 02:40 PM by mother earth
Tomorrow, seems to be his forte.

I think a lot of people will hold the date in memory and be anticipating awful stuff, even if they pooh-pooh it. What everyone should remind others is that the end of "TIME" is that of linear, not the world...cycles, cycles, cycles. It's like people fall into two schools of thought, just like climate change. It's gotta be catastrophic or a big nothing, and it will be neither. We definitely are going to have catastrophic weather/natural events, but not all on one day and not in this magnitude.

I'll go see this, because I like John Cusack & the rest of the cast.

but I predict this movie will end his career, unfortunately.

15. I don't know about that, The Day After Tomorrow did very
well. I think this will have its following because it's action packed & the theme of 2012, doesn't have to ring true, the special effects will garner a crowd.

14. Oh no! Not Randy's Donuts! It's been there forever.
Actually, really good special effects. I don't know how they did it using the real street scenes. However, I'm not really worried. Edgar Cayce predicted that it would happen in 1988 due to a polar shift but it would usher in climatic changes and that seems to be happening.
