Randi Rhodes for President? |
Psychic caller in on her show tells her she has to run for President to force President Obama to start listening to the left because she can challenge him and make him explain himself. Well, this is a little far out, but I think she's on to something. Randi, of course, laughed her off and said she wasn't qualified to be President. The same woman predicted to Randi that she was going to move to Washington D. C. before she did. Maybe it's time to start thinking about something like this, not necessarily Randi but another candidate who can light a fire under the President's 2012 campaign making him turn left.

2. Randi I don't think would do it, but it's an interesting idea to get |
someone to challenge him. Randi also suggested maybe Howard Dean. I love Dr. Dean but I think the Rahm Emmanuel machine would pull out all the stops to smear and upstage him and Dennis Kucinich doesn't have the political presence to upstage Obama. Somewhere there is someone on the left who can really challenge him and hold the stage with him. Maybe our more psychically gifted ASAHs can figure out whom it would be.

3. i like randi, but she won't do it. very savvy team player, that one. rough around the edges, tho |
still remember that psychic caller saying she should move to DC... that was a heady time, with transitions and everything.
what would be nice is if randi could do a no hold's barred interview with obama. now that could be really interesting. she's just as strategic in her deflections and insinuations, so it could be a fun and enlightening interview. though it would likely sound like two chinese mandarins volleying ingratiating courtesies while leaving land mines and hints everywhere... not for everyone, but i love my high subtext dialogues. probably explains my joy for masterpiece theatre, too. ;)
