Could I have your attention, I have an announcement to make?!?!?

As you may remember back in 08, I became Precinct Chair so my precinct would have a Democratic Precinct Chair present during the General Election. This position is for two years, which means this would have been my last election this Primary season. I wasn't planning on staying in this position, however, I submitted my name once again. The Texas Primaries are just around the corner and I have been somewhat busy tending to election business. As a matter of fact I have been asked to be the Election Judge, and with great reluctance, I accepted the challenge. I'm very nervous about this as it will be my first time presiding over an election. The scariest part of this process is not only do I have my precinct to preside over, but an additional three other ones as well. I am not ready. At least there are training sessions that I can attend to help me.

Just trying to continue to do my part in what we call a democracy.



Anyway, I just wanted to inform everyone that has been a major reason with me not posting much lately. Unfortunately, this has also caused me to have missed out on some of your birthdays. For this I apologize. But as of now I just don't have the time required to work on specialized cards. I hope everyone will understand and not hold it against me ;=D

Please don't worry about the cards. It was a wonderful gift to the group for you to do them while you were able. However, they shouldn't be a burden to you. If it's become too much of a load to continue with them, don't feel that you're obligated to do them. What you've already given will never be lost. :hug:
