Karen Bishop's last WINGS

Gee...

She's ending WINGS.... no more "New Age energy or higher information..."

She mentions another website that is not created yet, referring to it being about, "a space of center and calm, and full of the heart of the ordinary and pristine moments that are available to us now, as we wait for our mother earth to complete her endings in all ways."

Well, I was looking forward to seeing her thoughts in light of what's been going on, and this is...uh, disconcerting.

I have to say, all the references to finding her true and authentic self, leaving her old space, and making references to being given the choice to leave for good, and finding a group of angels here...well it's a little cryptic for me...

There is a link in the good-bye post to her last WINGS, and there she makes reference to being in the end-times, and symptoms of a dying world.

Your thoughts and intuitions here?

1. First thoughts?

"Yer on yer own!" But not in a callous way. Instead, we've passed our swimming test and have been tossed into the deep end without our floaties...because we WILL get our heads above water. As far as I can tell, anyone who's a seeker and has been/is paying attention (and listening to his/her intuition) is officially "ready", whether we think we are or not.

I don't think we're in the "end times" in the traditional sense (the world going poof out of existence), but yes, the world we know is coming to an end, to be replaced by a new one. Will it be even better? I like to think so. But I suspect it depends on what we make it. ;)

2. HI Glow :)

Well, I wish I c ould tell you what's up in FL, but I haven't been t here in several years!

I'm just here, doing my best to survive on top of the mountain :P Busy in the studio, selling some mugs, too, which is REALLY fun.
In fact, gotta get going, have stuff to do, but -- I STILL would love to get together and meet t his fellow DU'er who lives nearby!!!

I guess her post just....strikes me in an uncomfortable place? A little vague and dramatic and scary, or maybe that's just me wanting some assurance.

Yes yes yes we gotta get together! Are you still going to the pottery studio? Did the coffee shop in the old dairy place across from the drive-in survive? If so, maybe we could meet there?

I know what you mean about Karen's post being kind of scary. It struck me the same way, but then I reminded myself that she does have a penchant toward the dramatic in her e-newsletter posts. I don't want to call the poor woman a drama queen or anything so derogatory, but you know what I mean. And she's done a lot of about-faces in her posts over the years, so I'm taking this one with a grain of salt just as much as the other ones.

I guess the one thing we have to remember is that we're all manifesting our future in different ways. Hers is very abrupt and dramatic. Ours are just as likely to be milder, or even nearly unnoticeable...or (dare I say it) maybe POSITIVE? Naaaahhhh....!

6. D'OH!! I got distracted and never replied!

Hmmm, I'm not sure what dairy place you're thinking of! But there is good ol' Tom Wahl's, we could meet there....

I don't go to the pottery studio as often anymore because I've got MY OWN!! :woohoo: teehee!! **gleeful jumping about**

anyway, I'm somewhat new to Karen, so I don't really have a comparison to what she was saying before. That cryptic drama stuff can tend to make me question and doubt myself, which in terms of other people I've known in the past, is a dysfunctional reaction they kind of wanted: to make other people feel less than and in need of their superior knowledge. NOT that I'm saying Karen is motivated that way. Just mulling over my own experiences and reminding myself to take what I like and leave the rest.

4. Glass half empty or half full?

That's what I'm personally taking away from all this right now...though I reserve the right to change my mind. :rofl:


These changes are going to be viewed as cataclysmic and doom & gloom (and, granted, there is evidence to support this in what we're observing), or we can see it as an opportunity to build and create anew.

I've decided I'm focusing on creating anew. Not dismissing or ignoring the current drama and suffering...not at all...but choosing to create a New Way.

And, inviting those who choose the same path to come along...not trying to convince or convert, simply offer an invitation to join this New Way we're all creating together.

5. not surprising...

I am seeing this same turnover in my own life and with my mentor who is getting ready to shift her own self and life in some drastic way. she had a rough ride in May too, so maybe it is part of that same energy which pushes Karen's decision...

MG- ya, I get the drama thing too.
gotta read the whole Wings article though and see what else there is that's noteable...

I also get the vibe of us being on our own. as rough as it feels, we are each going to have to walk through that veil ALONE, so perhaps losing some of the words that used to offer comfort is part of that 'pushing the baby birds out of the nest' that the universe is so good at.
