Hello, my new found friends, Good News! |
|
So I talked to Grandmother (Grandma Minnie) told her that I posted some of our conversation. I told her how well it was received and how people wanted to know more, and she asked me to set her up an account here, which is really unusual, because she is a very private person, but she said it was time!
So I am going over to her house and setting her up with an account, we have to be patient with her while she finds her way around...I am kind of excited to see what she posts in GD, lol!!! She is a very funny lady, and very up on what is happening politically but she can be real sassy too!

BTW, do you or Grandmother have knowledge of, or connection to, the Houma Tribe in Louisiana, by any chance?

13. She may? I don't know |

I am Blackfoot of Northern Montana/Canada...some relations to more plains, but none there. Sorry. I was reading the devastating news about them, I think I may know some Choctaw they may have some relations, I'll have to find out. Thanks for the reminder!

10. WhooHoo! That's very good news, sage, esp. for those of |
|
us here in the ASAH forum. Maybe she will be able to bring a certain calm to some of those hotheads in GD.

11. How about seeing if she wants to post things here before venturing out into |
|
the cruel waters of GD.
It seems to me that there are a few people who post very mean things swiftly without thinking about it.

May I suggest that she keep an eye out for my most favorite person here on DU (other than this group) His name is H20 Man. He is an astounding thinker and is up on ALL things Native American. You may have already read some of his journals...if you haven't please do. He may be a little too political for her taste as a new member, but he helped me identify my roots, based on the location in upstate NY where my family settled. I am so excited, and looking forward to hearing from her and her spiritual wisdom of the Elders!!!:bounce:

18. I haven't been on this forum for a while, as the news from |
|
the Gulf (my hometown) has been devastating and I am gobbling up all news on it as fast as it is printed.
So, who is Grandma Minnie? BTW, Minnie is a precious family name of mine. Also, I am part indian.
H2O man is a favorite of mine also. He is so enlightened in so many ways. He really helped me a lot when I lost my husband last year. I love him.
