SOMEONE'S trying to tell me something..... |
|
I returned from a trip North last weekend and spent a lot of time worrying about money - specifically having barely enough of it to last until payday, and in general having not very much between paydays. I am usually NOT consumed with worry on this subject, I can't really explain why I am now. But I seem to be attracting lots of unwanted attention. Since last weekend:
- I have gotten a speeding ticket. My fine was doubled, because I was going ONE mph over the fine-dividing limit - my dog has started developing a seasonal skin condition, which last year cost us several thousand dollars to treat. - I realized I had forgotten to account for my car payment this month, so had take my savings account back to zero to make THAT - sent my cell phone through the washing machine, ruining it
So - I guess I should stop worrying about money?

... was that you need to pay attention to what's going on around you. Might you be a bit ungrounded? All of these seemingly mundane details feel to me as if they are calling you to be present, be aware. Especially the speeding ticket - that feels to me like a big sign that says SLOW DOWN and be present.
Has there been a lot of stuff swirling around you lately causing you to go out of your physical body? You may be seeing gentle (??) reminders to come back into it and BE PRESENT.
Does that fit at all?

I have been feeling a bit "zoned out" lately - I had attributed it to being on summer break but I'll try and come back to reality a bit more!

4. be sure to go to court. |

Go to court on the day your ticket says. If the cop doesn't come in then your ticket is dismissed. If he does, tell the judge something like, I don't speed as a rule, I can't afford this, and I've learned my lesson. Ask for leniency.
Years ago I fixed a ticket that I got (I don't speed as a rule, I couldn't afford it, I learned my lesson) because the cop didn't come in. I watched everyone in front of me who fessed up get a reduced or eliminated fine. The judge was quite jovial.
