Is Kevin Costner highly evolved, or what? |
|
Found this great line from him at the end of an article about his playing in a band, and his work in the Gulf......... "Sometimes the universe tells you what it wants you to do, and what I'm trying to do is be quiet enough in the ticking of my own heart to hear what the universe is telling me." His wide open heart. I'm so impressed with his visionary involvement in The Gulf.
I've been such a huge fan since "Dancing With Wolves"; that movie impacted me tremendously.
Thanks for sharing this!

He catches such crap--doesn't seem fair.
Personal brush with KC that doesn't amount to anything: He visited the university I worked at when his daughter was checking out schools (she didn't end up going there). Fascinating--for as long as he stood in the foyer of the admissions building, suddenly LOTS of female employees just HAD to go to the ladies room (in the area behind him). I was one, I admit. Seemed nice enough, though his shield was up and very heavy, as you can imagine. And he was way shorter than you'd think--as with so many movie stars, it seems.

4. With my female friends, it was always Mel Gibson vs. Kevin Costner. |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-17-10 12:18 PM by I Have A Dream
Mel never did anything for me; I always really liked Kevin.
People made fun of him for Waterworld. I never saw the movie, but isn't it ironic that he's so involved with the Gulf cleanup? It's my understanding that he came up with the idea of the machine while making Waterworld.
Let's not forget Field of Dreams either. That was certainly about the character being open to hearing what the Universe was telling him as well. (He didn't write it, but he was certainly drawn to it.)

6. Hi Dream - I agree with you |
|
I used to love Mel Gibson, well, his looks; but lately his politics and movies have been turning me off. His latest antics were the subject at work this week and I always adamantly turn off when the office topic encourages us to judge people we don't even know from only the specific actions the media decides feeds to us, whether they are true or not. It makes me feel like a pawn and I won't participate. However, aside from that, Mel Gibson appears to be a commodity purchased by the right wing, like Dennis Miller, Jay Stein and Chuck Norris, dribbling all the crap that's grossly deteriorating the future of our country. For that, I don't care much for Gibson anymore at all. Costner, on the other hand, shines so brightly, you can't help but admire him and thank him for all he does. And he's so pleasing to the eyes! :loveya:
