Dragging Bush's Skeletons Out of the Closet
Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 08:23 AM by SpiralHawk
As Nancy Waterman has pointed out in her insightful DU threads and her blogging -- http://starlightnews.com -- transiting Saturn is right on George Bush's natal Mercury (in his First House) this week.

Mars has just gone Retrograde in the sign of Taurus, so all Martian matters (military record, etc), are up for some substantial re-flection...

Now, right at the time of a solar eclipse today at 10 Libra 19, Bush nominated a woman, Harriet Miers, to the Supreme Court (LIbra).

DU researchers are quickly learning all sorts of ancient Bush-Meirs insider family connections, including the likelihood that Meirs is the person who scrubbed the Shrub's AWOL records from the Texas Air National Guard.

And much more..

Remember that Saturn -- the operative planet here in conjunction to Bush's natal Mercury and Pluto -- rules the bones, and the skeletons.

Skull & Bones indeed.

This is going to be very interesting...

No birth data yet. Have to wonder if she's a Libra.

Apparently has a long track record of covering Bush's butt...

2. History Channel tonight 9 PM -n Skulls and Bones
Of course, this is just a coincidence...

History Channel tonight @ 9 p.m. Skulls and Bones and Secret Societies.

The 9 p.m. is EST.

I saw the previews and it mostly brought up the Bushes when it talked about Skull and Bones.

Just an FYI in case anyone wants to see it.

It could be a sign. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the headsup.
Interesting how it mostly focuses on Bush.

I hope Harry Reid can find out everything. Maybe we all should go to his blog and suggest he look into that.

10. yikes.....
make that double yikes...and ya know, I really thought she was way older and I was thinking she won't be on THAT long. She's relatively young...middle aged even! (I say that as I get older..."old" is something still way out ahead of me- on most days anyway)

Shows to go ya...don't judge anyones age by appearances anymore.

E&P: Miers Briefed Bush on Famous Bin Laden Memo

Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 09:16 AM by Rose Siding

Miers Briefed Bush on Famous Bin Laden Memo--But Newspapers Handle AP Photo From That Date Quite Differently

NEW YORK On its front page today, The New York Times publishes a photo of new U.S. Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers going over a briefing paper with President George W. Bush at his Crawford ranch, “in August 2001,” the caption reads. USA Today and the Boston Globe carried the photo labeled simply “2001,” but many other newspapers ran the picture in print or on the Web with a more precise date: August 6, 2001.

Does that date sound familiar? Indeed, that was the date, a little over a month before 9/11, that President Bush was briefed on the now-famous “PDB” that declared that Osama Bin Laden was “determined” to attack the U.S. homeland, perhaps with hijacked planes. But does that mean that Miers had anything to do with that briefing?

As it turns out, yes, according to today's Los Angeles Times. An article by Richard A. Serrano and Scott Gold observes that early in the Bush presidency “Miers assumed such an insider role that in 2001 it was she who handed Bush the crucial 'presidential daily briefing' hinting at terrorist plots against America just a month before the Sept. 11 attacks.”

So the August 6 photo may show this historic moment, though quite possibly not. In any case, some newspapers failed to include the exact date with the widely used Miers photo today. A New York Times spokesman told E&P: "The wording of the caption occurred in the course of routine editing and has no broader significance."

15. Miers was with Bush in Florida on 9/11
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 09:35 PM by SpiralHawk
Hmmm? She prepared Bush's "remarks" that day after he finished his leisurely read of "My Pet Goat." Miers is Bush's EXCUSE MAKER

She was in Florida with bush on 911 too

Here is what I was referring to (the link I mentioned--you have to go there and read the whole Q&A to see her spews about Saddam 911 connection)

But check out the comments from her below...she recalls 911 as being *remarkable*

http://72.14.207.104/search?q=cache:uUt8xZR9_60J:www.whitehouse.gov/ask/20040910.html+Harriet+Miers+911&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

Karrin, from OHIO writes:
Where were you on September 11th and what did you do?

Harriet Miers:

Karrin, I was traveling with the President on September 11, 2001. So I started out in Florida. I was the President's Staff Secretary at that point in time, so I continued to do those duties. I was responsible for making sure the remarks he prepared to give to the Nation from Louisiana were properly prepared for him. It took some time, and the President saw me hurrying to give them to him. He said, "Good hustle!" He made me feel good that I was contributing. Typical. That was a remarkable day I will never forget. I will never forget how strong the President's response was to something so dreadful and so unexpected.

Good hustle? Remarkable day? WTF?

18. Trouble for Harriet -- From Nancy Waterman's Blog
"In the chart of John Roberts, everything lined up for a crescendo of great success in late September and early October 2005 (transiting Jupiter and transiting Mars strongly aspecting progressed Uranus conjunct natal Jupiter, with progressed Moon moving into opposition).

"From what I can see, there is nothing comparable in Harriet Miers chart. In fact, I see significant trouble through October 16, with some amount of stress continuing through October 27."

"A former Texas Lottery official said he wants to talk to senators about the Supreme Court nominee's role in covering up his Bush's record

By Ken Herman

WASHINGTON BUREAU

Tuesday, October 4, 2005

WASHINGTON -- A former Texas lottery official, who claimed that then-Gov. George W. Bush's desire to cover up his National Guard record helped steer decisions about a key lottery contract, said he wants to talk to senators about Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers' possible role in that effort.

"If I were to be subpoenaed to come to the thing, I would come," said Lawrence Littwin, who filed a lawsuit after he was fired as the lottery's executive director in 1997. "I would say the committee, I think, would be interested."

Littwin claimed in a federal lawsuit that lottery operator GTECH held sway over the Texas Lottery Commission because former GTECH lobbyist Ben Barnes was involved in helping get Bush into the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.

These hearing are NOT going to be dull. I'm not at all certain she'll be confirmed, not with the limp support the 'thugs offer, anyway.

21. Miers controlled WH press access: Jeff Gannon
Edited on Sat Oct-08-05 11:00 AM by SpiralHawk
As Bush's Nanny and "Office Wife", Meirs was also in all likelihood the person who approved a press pass for male prostitute Jeff Gannon/James Guckert -- who, according to official Secret Service records, visited the Bush White House about 200 times.

Fascinating DU thread (press pass item nestled within it):
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x5004615

Read somewhere here today that Harriet Miers controlled WH press passes.

Maybe she knows something about Gannon in all of this as well.

As I recall, Gannon bragged about seeing an internal (State Dept?)memo concerning Plame *setting up her husband's trip to Niger*.... (false).... and he later even ASKED Joe Wilson about it during an interview! Then, there was news that the FBI soon talked with Gannon, wanting to know what he knew about that memo.

Man, they are really circling their wagons now.

All of these stories are pointing to the same case, IMO, and that is that the neocons were so intent on having their Iraq War for oil domination, that they were hell bent on destroying anyone who got in their way.

Plame, Brewster-Jennings, Joe Wilson, the generals trying to warn them, El-Baradei of the IAEA, Scott Ritter, and many others.

Fitzgerald is very smart in that he started his investigation at the periphery and now is drilling down deeper and deeper into the evidence, and lo and behold, there is a cavern of poisonous snakes in the middle, and they all intertwine.

22. My take on Miers...
I think she knows where some, if not all, the bodies are buried. As B*sh's lawyer, she has had access and knowledge of all of the shenanigans that he has been involved in. I believe that the Miers nomination had more to do with Commander Chimpy's legal troubles than her ideology. Miers is Bush's get out of jail card, pure and simple.

23. Miers Panel To Hear 'Explosive Testimony'?
This DU thread starts out from a dubious news source, then proceeds into more credible territory.

If it pans out, then Bush's nomination of Miers to SCOTUS could lead to a massive re-visiting of Bush's own shameful AWOL episodes with the Texas Air National Guard

Gag order lifted for ex-lottery boss claiming Miers kept 'lid' on Bush Guard controversy

Harriet Miers and President Bush
Released from a gag order, Larry Littwin – the controversial former director of the Texas Lottery under Harriet Miers – is free to appear at the upcoming Supreme Court confirmation hearings to give "potentially explosive" testimony damaging both to President Bush and his nominee, according to WND columnist Jerome Corsi.

As WorldNetDaily has reported, Littwin allegedly was fired by Miers because he wanted to investigate improper political influence-buying by lobbyists for GTECH, the firm contracted to run the lottery.

Corsi believes that Littwin, according to an examination of hundreds of contemporary Texas newspaper accounts, will be able to establish under oath that the GTECH contract was preserved on a no-bid basis by then-chairwoman of the Lottery Commission Miers in order to "keep the lid on" the National Guard controversy involving then-Gov. Bush.

The lobbyists included Ben Barnes, the former Texas lieutenant governor who claims he pulled strings to get Bush into the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.
