Continuation of 11/19/04 readings
This is a continuation of the previous topic, except this time we are doing follow-up readings. Normally we wouldn't have to, but the appearance of 4 or more major arcana, and of having a major arcana present in the 10th position of the celtic cross, along with frighteningly similar themes appearing, in each reading without exception (phew, any more urging needed?) persuades one to do the required follow-up.

I start this with my reading.
I am doing a Celtic Cross on the 10th card to further expound on its meaning.
Then I am going to do a 7 card Major Arcana reading on the original question of the original reading.

:) most fascinating stuff! i leave it open for a while and see how many similar understandings we have. also i love to hear deeper shades of meaning i miss.

Celtic Cross on Outcome card.

"What does Chariot R mean within this reading?"

1. 4 Cups R
2. 3 Cups
3. King of Pentacles R
4. 5 of Swords R
5. Temperance
6. Emperor
7. King of Wands R
8. Ace of Wands
9. Strength R
10. 4 of Wands R

Major Arcana Reading (7 card spread)

"What about Bush and the next 4 years of his presidency?"

1. Strength (fear, inner thoughts)
2. Judgement R (outside opinion, external forces)
3. Empress R (hope, outer attitude)
4. Emperor R (past, cause)
5. Wheel of Fortune R (present, process)
6. Sun R (future, effect)
7. Hermit (culmination, key)

:) besides another 4 major arcana in the new spread (there's far more involved than can be easily explained, is how i read this new 4 major arcana appearance), i find this reading quite enlightening. i also find validation in DUers' actions to counterbalance this mis-administration. i also see a light at the end of the tunnel (though the tunnel will be quite bad). your thoughts?

1. Having a problem
with all the reverses. If I got this many I would either flip them all or read them all upright. How do you deal with reverses.

2. Yeah, I tend to agree. I can't make heads or tails of it...

heh, well, no, i'd need to give it more attention than i have time for right now. but off the top of my head, ending with the Hermit seems to go with the general theme i've been picking out. time for introspection and retreat. as far as the country as a whole goes, that may take a while. but since such a period often follows a massive endeavor that fails (which is why the left is there right now), one could suspect that Bush wil lead the entire country to a place where there aren't many other options beside downtime and self-examination.

3. I think that's already coming true.
Many of us are throwing up our hands at the status quo and going back to reexamine our core beliefs, like who we want to be, knowing we don't want to be led down the primrose path the neo-cons are pushing the country.

I'll be putting up my spread later. I need to be in a serene mental place to do this and today is not the day.

Yes, exactly. I know I am. And on November 3rd, when I got up that day feeling like someone had died, that was my first instinct. To go inward and seek inner peace. My partner and I immedaitely formed a meditation/preayer circle for ourselves and a few like minded souls.

4. I get this with the R chariot
perhaps representing the 'aloneness' of this admin. the pulling in different directions, but never ever getting anywhere, thus stagnating, never ending, never winning(war).

5. i, at first was scared of reverses, but now....
i came to understand that there aren't 78 'symbols' in the Tarot, there are 156 'symbols.' the reverse of a card isn't just 'that card, now negative,' it's more of a whole new meaning with sometimes similar complementary energies to the upright. be not afraid of them, they are just the fast way a huge group of symbols can be condensed into something that can be handled. in this manner it can be shuffled (because 156 cards is a lot of cards to hold) and also it helps to gradually immerse practitioners into this rich collection of symbols in their own time.

sometimes a huge amount of reverses can mean that everything should be switched, but the vibratory energies shockingly told me this is right. also, when staring at it a bit longer i found the relation among them were only proper when reversed -- which comes back to the 'different symbol' outlook. an upright card would not have beeen adequate to convey the idea, it's just difficult to separate the picture of the card into 2 separate ideas with one unifying shorthand.

as difficult as this reading may feel, i invite you to look again and tell me what you see. i found the second gaze into the cards a surprising illuminator challenging my first impression concerns. enjoy! :D

6. the cross
We have a victory and something to celebrate but we don't see it and that is why it is lost to us. Some none too smart but predictable leader is hiding something from us for what he thinks is our own good.
Something will be revealed about the ruling power.
A leader without power with new power is impatient to over throw the party.

That's how I read it. What does it mean?

10. the major arcana reading
I have read and re-read your post since it went up. I try to get a general impression first. Then, I try to "guess." Then, I look at it and use the "Tarot Book" meanings. Finally, I let the culmination take hold and use that information and my intuition. I thought I would give you insight to how I am about to come to my conclusions (I am a weird one, sometimes).

"What about Bush and the next 4 years of his presidency?"

1. Strength (fear, inner thoughts) -- This 'administration' is based on its strength, but their fear is they will lose it. It is what scares them most. They must hold on to power at all costs!

2. Judgement R (outside opinion, external forces) -- The "outside" do not favor them. There is much 'lip-service' but secret disdain.

3. Empress R (hope, outer attitude) -- There hope is a 'dark' one! They wish to suppress. This is what they show others...disent will NOT be tolerated!

4. Emperor R (past, cause) -- "Right" was turned on its head. The 'regal' way to handle things was thrown out the window (election 2000).

5. Wheel of Fortune R (present, process) -- Karma has been corrupted! Things are not following the natural order. A very concerted effort is being constructed to prevent the 'way' from taking place!

6. Sun R (future, effect) -- Hope will be crushed. Goodwill will fall to the wayside. Truth will not be honored. Darkness will reign.

7. Hermit (culmination, key) -- This is the most hopeful card, IMO! There is a GREAT secret! It is well protected, but many are in repose and looking. My PERSONAL feeling...the secret is hidden in the open! It will not be "light" that exposes it, but "darkness!"

So, did that really confuse people?! I told you I was odd! :)

12. interesting interpretation
especially the Wheel of Fortune. As we know, if we get in the way of the natural order of the cycle of life it will crush us. I wish that for the forces of pure evil who have overthrown our nation.

13. Sorry, I haven't been around, but I've had a lot of
setbacks with my husband's health the past week. He was in the hospital but is home now and keeping me busy with his care. I will do a spread on the last card soon. I have had some thoughts about all the upside down tenth cards.

I think between the major arcana cards and the upside down tenth cards we are getting the message that the election was stolen but we won't get rid of Bush because it will be too late. Justice reversed seems to point to that. However, there also seems to be an underlying message that we need to overthrow this illegal regime by all legal means possible. I will be back with readings on Justice and what it means.
