I really enjoy delving into this stuff....(keeps me from being too stuck in Planet Earth 2006 CE...if you know what I mean!)
Most of this is not new to me although I'm sure a lot of the info in his book may be. I find archeo- astronomy quite fascinating. The idea we are the first "advanced civilization" (I use that term loosely) on this planet is hard for me to believe. I agree completely with your remark- that those who came before us knew much more than those who walk among us.
from the website...
Wayne Herschel, in a culmination of 15 years of research on archaeo-astronomy, has stumbled upon an extraordinary secret that appears to link Leonardo Da Vinci to the Solomon key, Stonehenge and the enigma behind the pyramids. It all began in Egypt, where the Sphinx would lead him to an astonishing discovery that had eluded so many before him: All 50 or so pyramids in Lower Egypt correlate accurately with the brightest stars along the entire length of the Milky Way. On a recent South African television documentary, astronomers and historians could not fault his claim. (See star atlas image and pyramids on author’s website for evaluation by scholars).
What Herschel found, as one would expect to in any ‘sacred’ map, was the proverbial ‘x’ that marks the spot. It was at the map’s dead centre and was represented by the largest obelisk ever constructed by the Egyptians. It appears to correlate with a nearby Sun-like star situated close to the Pleiades star cluster in Taurus. With this ‘blueprint’ design code at hand, the definitive question was: Would other megalithic civilisations, like the Maya, the Sumerians, the Inca, and the Cambodians conceal the same breathtaking secret?
Thanks, Leanin_green :hi:
