Damiana, Coleus, Calea Zacatechichi

Has anyone in here experimented with these oneiric plants? They have a long history of being used by humans, specifically for lucid dreaming.

They're not hallucinogens, although Zacatechichi sometimes causes auditory hallucinations. But most people report no effect from taking it.

I'll soon have some Damiana and Calea, but the elusive Zacatechichi, the leaf of god, is much harder to find. Coleus can be had at the nearest garden center, but only in the warmer months.

1. Damiana

I haven't heard of damiana for lucid dreaming and haven't had that effect from using it. I've mostly heard of it as an aphrodisiac.

I've experimented with homemade damiana liquers. Simplest recipe: Soak 1-2 ounces of damiana in a fifth of vodka or brandy for a couple weeks, filter it. There are many much better recipes on the net, some fairly simple, some more complex.

It also makes a pleasantly scented, mildly flavored tea.
