Good vibes, thoughts, prayers, mojo requested
Tomorrow I will be the service leader for a service at my UU church.

I have not been in front of an 'audience' in 8 years.

A year ago, I was so sick I couldn't have even imagined getting to a service, never mind leading one.

It's been a long, slow ascension (and I still have a long way to go), but it is truly something else for me to be doing this. It feels like after 5 long years, I'm coming back into the world again, having a voice once again, feeling useful.

I would appreciate any good thoughts/vibes my way. I hope I have the (physical) strength for the whole thing! :-)

2. Sending you light and energy
I've been going through something similar--been sick for 4 years. I get strength from your story--maybe my healing is also near. I wish you love and light--you will do fine!

7. Hi Bluestar
I'm sorry to hear you've been ill. :-( If I may ask, what is it?

I hope healing is around the corner for you, too. Dealing with chronic illness is so difficult; if it doesn't let up, it's constant, it's so draining; if you have small remissions/positive steps than crash again and again, it's hard to trust the next time you feel better, and always wonder how long it will last.

I will include you in my meditations. If you ever need to talk, please feel free to PM me.

Thank you for your good wishes.

12. Hi BlueIris!
Thank you very much for your good thoughts.

I see someone (YOU) who is making much progress in her own healing, and not only in her own, but reaching out to others, to support them.

That is a wonderful gift. I think that once we can include others again after a traumatic time/or because our healing expands to include others - it means you're definitely on the right track. Including others, after serious mistrust issues, is a huge step forward.

I, too, wish you all the best, BlueIris. I know your struggles have been incredibly tough. Venus is in Taurus now, I hope that might bring some wonderful feelings of love and creativity for you. :pals:

(oh...and Jupiter is in Scoprio opposite Taurus. Maybe some lucky breaks will come your way! :bounce:

15. Hi there
I feel like a hermit myself the past...at least 4 years, so I appreciate what you say.
A few months ago. I went to a meeting and thought my heart is going to jump onto the table.

I'll ask for your guides inspirations to shine through - and send you my vibes, too.

:)

24. Actually with me it is more of a struggle
to get a very large project going addressing issues of illiteracy for young adults and kids. 6th year in the making so far -

and the meeting was related to that...

Then, ask for "that or something better for the highest good of all concerned." That visualizing helps me a lot.

22. Thank you so very much, everyone!
I could feel so much positive energy around me, even before I left this morning, and I knew it was from this wonderful group. :grouphug:

It went so incredibly well!

I had energy to spare to do the service. The getting up and sitting down again, repeatedly...no problem. The standing...no problem.

Everyone was incredibly supportive, and I had so many people come up to me afterwards to express their gratitude and praise. I had people commenting on many aspects of what I did, so I felt it was an all round good job. I am so deeply honoured...I can't even begin to say how much this day means to me.

I had felt before that I hadn't brought any skills with me from my 'previous' (ie before this sickness) life. When all one can do is literally put one foot in front of the other (when I wasn't bedridden), it's easy to lose both skills and self esteem. I reconnected with so much of it today. I felt like I had the skills...they just needed to be dug up, and used once again. It also helps that I was in a wonderful supportive community, one that I can test out the waters.

All the support definitely helped my self esteem.

I also reconnected with children today. (I've got three 5th house planets, including the Sun, and 2 are in Leo) I hadn't been around children for so long (I used to love kids), and I not only reconnected through the story I read for them, but through a friend's child later (she's 4), at lunch. I hadn't met her before, and by mid lunch she was already calling me 'auntie'. I was so touched. Their creativity and energy fed mine.

It has been a wonderful day...once again, thanks to everyone here for their good thoughts/vibes/energy. I can't even begin to express my appreciation. :loveya:

30. congratulations!
I'm glad to hear it went well.

I started leading services at my UU church (Sugarloaf UU in Germantown, MD) a few years ago after being so shy all my life that I didn't even talk in classes in college. Somehow, with the help of a supportive minister and supportive friends in the congregation, all has gone well. If someone had told me even 5 years ago that this was in my future, I would not have believed them.

UUism is wonderful. Best of luck in leading future services.

43. Forgot about one thing
I was also to look at a place yesterday...I had hopes, but alas, it didn't work out. Whoever designed those new suburbs really need to be taken out and given a good shaking.

For 30 blocks, there is NO other intersecting road that cuts through to the main road. :wtf:

I can't even imagine my (car) gas bills living there.
