My NAET notes on a Home Allergy Cure
Btw, I used this technique on my husband and it worked great!

As promised, here are my notes from Ellen Cutler's Allergy book The Food Allergy Cure : A New Solution to Food Cravings, Obesity, Depression, Headaches, Arthritis, and Fatigue. I still recommend you get the book, though, because I have a tendency to skim stuff and sometimes forget important things.

For the purposes of grammatical simplicity, the writing involves a male subject and a female tester.

YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS

1. This method of allergy curing involves some common acupressure points. You can find all the points beautifully described and located here: http://www.acuxo.com/meridianPictures.asp

2. The points on your body are symmetrical, such that you have one Spleen 6 on your left leg and one on your right leg. In the same fashion, you also have one LongIntestine-4 point on each hand. However, you only have one GoverningVessel-20 because the Governing Vessel points run down the center of your body.

3. You should know that the "cun" measurement sometimes used describe acupressure point locations is simply the width of the subject's first thumb joint, that is, the joint closest to your thumbnail. This measure is individual to each person. You will need to determine the cun measurement of the SUBJECT in all cases.

I recommend that you become familiar with the points before attempting the cure so you won't lose your rhythm in the process. You can draw them on a piece of paper or you can even use a pen on the subject. You can then take you time to mark the subject with the points beforehand!

Find the points on your own body first. Some of them are pretty easy to find because they tend to be sensitive (like Spleen 6).

BEFORE STARTING

Both the tester and person tested should have clean hands. All jewelry should be removed, if possible. Any potential allergens should be at least 4 feet away. If at all possible, have the subject avoid any exposure to the allergen for 48 hours.

RESISTANCE TESTING
To determine whether a person is allergic to a substance, we're going to do some resistance testing. The person being tested upon should sit in a chair, both feet uncrossed and flat on the floor.

The subject will holds one of his arms straight out in front of him. It doesn't matter which one, so let's say it's the subject's RIGHT arm.

The tester should then stand by the subject's LEFT side to apply a mild to medium downward pressure on the subject's outstretched arm. (If the subject's LEFT arm had been used, the tester would have stood by the subject's RIGHT side.)

The subject should resist the downward pressure.

This is done first without any allergens present to determine the subject's a baseline resistance.

POLARITY TESTING

1. Have the subject place his LEFT hand palm DOWN on the top of his head. Holding his left hand on his head, the subject then holds his RIGHT arm outstretched in front of him.

The tester should be on the subject's RIGHT side and should apply downward pressure to the subject's arm. The response should be STRONG.

2. Have the subject place his LEFT hand palm UP on the top of his head. Holding his left hand on his head, the subject then holds his RIGHT arm outstretched in front of him.

The tester should be on the subject's RIGHT side and should apply downward pressure to the subject's arm. The response should be WEAK.

If the responses are as expected, then proceed to the allergen testing. If not, read on.

If the responses are switched, then the polarity is switched and (1) you should have the subject drink some water (NOT ice cold) or (2) have the subject apply little "karate chops" to his own hands.

Let me describe this second technique a bit better: Using the knife edge of your hand (the edge of your hand that turns into your pinky), gently hit the other hand's knife edge. Do that for about 30 seconds. I think. I'm really guessing. My notes weren't very good here. Sorry.

Try the polarity test again. If the response is STILL not as expected, the tester should SIMULTANEOUSLY stimulate (by pressing strongly with a single finger and making very tiny CLOCKWISE circular motions) the acupressure points ConceptionVessel-17 (CV17) and ConceptionVessel-6 (CV6). Stimulate with 10 clockwise circular motions.

Then try polarity testing again. If it's still not right, then I'm not sure. I guess you could simply reverse the directions for the cure. I can't see any harm coming from it, in any case. Consult Cutler's book to be sure.

INTRODUCE THE POTENTIAL ALLERGEN

Now the subject places the hand not being used for the resistance test, palm up, in his lap. He should hold some of the potential allergen in this hand. The substance can also be placed in something made of glass that can be then held.

RESISTANCE TEST AGAIN TO DETERMINE REACTION

Go through the resistance test again. If the subject is allergic to the substance, his strength will be much less and he will not be able to resist the tester's downward pressure on his outstretched arm.

THE CURE

There are 4 stages where the tester and the subject will be doing very similar things each time. The only thing different in each of the four stages is that the subject breathes differently.

In each stage the tester is going to stimulate the same 10 points (listed below), starting with LongIntestine-4 (LI4) on the RIGHT and continuing around the subject's body in a clockwise fashion, all the way around and back, ending with starting point, LI4.

The stimulation of each point involves a tiny clockwise circular motion with the thumb, about 7 times. The pressure of the thumb should be firm but never painful. Remember that you're going underneath the skin, accessing an energy point.

There are 10 points and, in order, starting with the right, they go around the body like this:

Long Intestine 4 (LI4) (on R hand)
Long Intestine 11 (LI11) (on R arm)
Triple Burner 10 (TE10) (on R arm)
Bladder 10 (BL10) (R side of neck/head)
Governing Vessel 20 (GV20) (center of head)
Bladder 10 (BL10) (L side of neck/head)
Triple Burner 10 (TE10) (on L arm)
Long Intestine 11 (LI11) (on L arm)
Long Intestine 4 (LI4) (on L hand)
Bladder 40 (BL40) (back of L knee)
Stomach 36 (ST36) (on L leg)
Spleen 6 (SP6) (on L leg)
Liver 3 (LR3) (on L foot)
Spleen 3 (SP3) (on L foot)
Spleen 3 (SP3) Ion R foot)
Liver 3 (LR3) (on R foot)
Spleen 6 (SP6) (on R leg)
Stomach 36 (ST36) (on R leg)
Bladder 40 (BL40) (back of R knee)
Long Intestine 4 (LI4) (on R hand)

The subject should still be seated, both feet uncrossed, flat on the floor. He should be holding the allergen in his hand the whole time for all four stages, like he did for the testing.

STAGE 1
The tester stimulates each of these points, in order, while the subject repeatedly inhales and holds his breath. No, not as long as possible, but a fair amount.

STAGE 2
The tester stimulates each of these points, in order, while the subject repeatedly exhales and holds his breath. No, not as long as possible, but a fair amount. This is a little harder to do.

STAGE 3
The tester stimulates each of these points, in order, while the subject pants vigorously. This is harder to do that it would seem.

STAGE 4
The tester stimulates each of these points, in order, while the subject breathes normally. This is harder to do that it would seem.

Finally, the subject rests for 15 minutes (laying down on back is fine) with the sample just below their belly button.

RETEST
Retest for allergy. If the subject's resistance is strong, even while holding the allergen, the allergy is cured. If not, repeat the four stages and rest again.

The cure will usually take two or three and sometimes more repetitions.

3. Cat dander allergy
It had developed suddenly a few years ago. Watery, itchy eyes, sinus inflammation, skin itchiness, but not severely. Annoying though.

It took two of those four-stage steps, maybe about an hour's time.

I hope it works for someone else because it seemed like such a simple thing that anybody could do. I'd even read that some people were able to do it on themselves.

It was a bit of a pain to initially read and plot out the points but we ended up using those acupressure points in other things (Stomach 36 for stomach aches and LargeIntestine 4 to reduce various pains affecting the upper part of the body), so it was a good lesson learned.

Would love to hear if it helps anyone else!

Happy New Year all!

thanks! we are going to try it tomorrow :)
