November Light, Healing, and Prayer Request Thread
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 07:15 AM by divineorder
November 1st

The two days after Halloween are days of Remembrance of the Dead: All Saints Day-today, and all Souls Day Tomorrow...
Take the time this month to remember our Ancestors, both personal and national, and all of the good folk, famous or not, whose exemplary lives have proven examples for us to follow.

Theme from the Civil War

Great God and Ancestors and Saints, watch over us and guide us to do what's right and holy. May all our prayers be answered in Divine Order and Timing.

Discussion
of Alternative and Complementary Healing Methods is in no
way intended to take the place of mainstream medical care/tests
but to serve as a place to come together to discuss and share
other options, experiences and modalities of healing.
Members
are advised to seek the advice of a medical doctor before
experimenting with any alternative healing methods.

I would add that in Unity we believe God works through all sorts of healing modialities, including conventional medicine, which is also a gift. Do not hesitate to go to your doctor for any ailment.

1. Thank you for coordinating the thread this month, divineorder.
I ask that all energies that are put into this thread continue to help those who are still in need from previous prayer threads. Additionally, I ask that all of the energy that we put into this thread be amplified beyond our ability to understand by those beings that are working with us in this thread. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

I also wish to express my intense gratitude to those cosmic beings who have been helping all who have posted a need in any of the prayer threads -- past, present and future.

2. My first prayer is for the elections.
I pray that democracy reigns true and that "man-made glitches" do not interfere with the people.

My second prayer is for a mild winter or enough helping hands and warm hearts to take care of those less fortunate than ourselves. The homeless have a hard time in the winter months. Please remember them in your holiday push.

My third prayer is for families and unity. It tis the season.. Enjoy and make merry.

My fourth prayer is to win the lottery to be able to help out more with my second prayer.

Happy November.

3. happy all saints day !!!
I hope this thread warms the hearts and lifts the spirits of all who view it.

Here is a prayer and an affirmation (for the 7th) that I've posted before on another thread. Please pardon any redundancy . . .

"I am that I am, and the divinity in me is going to make a difference on this planet. Even my small efforts will create an energy that is larger than I can imagine, and combined with the efforts of others, will create an eternal peace on earth."

Every time you feel the intense sorrow about anticipating the sometimes
seemingly inevitable defeat, consider stiffening your spine, focusing your mind and saying aloud or thinking really loudly and firmly. . .

"I'm co creating with spirit that any malicious code implanted or secreted in the vote tally counting software be neutralized in the upcoming elections, and any malfeasance that does occur be so blatant that it will be exposed and corrected immedietely, so that the true will of the electorate will be revealed and true justice can be restored." (feel free to modify as you feel is appropriate)

"Very simply, if they can rig 'em maybe we can fix 'em. . .with our hearts and minds."

Also I'd like to humbly request that some good vibes be sent my way in 6-7 hours. I've a really important meeting then.

Thanks to all the participants of this forum. I love the ways in which we support each other and hope we continue to do so.

Great Love to you all.

34. Not giving medical advice.
Sharing my experience. Symphytum is a homeopathic remedy I have used with good results. Former rm's kitty fell (!?) and broke one of his back legs. Had to have a pin inserted. I gave him Symphytum and he healed nicely. We never know for sure if it helped or not. I have used it myself when I twisted my ankle and felt I had a broken bone. I didn't have it x-rayed. If you are open to these types of remedies, see this link > http://www.truestarhealth.com/Notes/2201007.html

Take care of yourself . Love and Light for your highest and best.

15. Asking for white light and good vibes
Seems I need to make some sort of a change in my life, and I really need some help figuring out what it is! All I know is that something is out of balance--but what? I'm suspecting it's my job, because I'm cool with Mr. MorningGlow and MorningGlow Jr. (we don't usually threaten to sell him to the gypsies) and the rest of my extended family. Living space is in transition but continuing apace. There's not much else going on. But I don't know.

So I guess I could use some clarity right about now--actually, a big ol' spotlight shining down on a facet of my life and a big booming voice declaring "CHANGE THIS THING HERE!" (I can be so dense sometimes! )

Thanks all! :grouphug:

18. Some prayers going your way
To help you with direction and guidance.

You might try daily meditation. Clear your mind
and see what images or thoughts you get. Or track
your dreams. Also be open to any opportunities
that may come your way. Or the same topic coming
up over and over again.

(Wouldn't it be nice if we were sent a memo from the Divine,
outlining our heavenly job description each month?....)

27. Thanks, Cassiepriam!
Ironically, one of the things I'm lacking is time to meditate!

Seriously--the toddler and full-time job are taking a toll on my "me time". I thought I wouldn't need any, but I was wrong. At least I recognize that need--now the issue is how to carve some time out for meditating and such. So that's something else I'm wondering about--do I want to trade one 40 hrs-per-week job for another--will that solve my problem? Ideally I'd like a part-time job so I can ship Jr. off to preschool or grandma's once in a while and have a few minutes to breathe--not sit around watching TV, but actually work on getting my spirit back into balance. But I'm unsure we'd be able to swing the cut in income. We'll see.

I am definitely looking for signs, I can tell you that! Thanks again! :hi:

37. Even 10 minutes a day can make a difference.
Sit quietly, breathe deeply, close your eyes.

You can even do it after you get into bed at night.
Take a few minutes to do your relaxation/mediation exercises,
instead of worrying about all the things you didn't get done today
and have to do tomorrow.

33. I'm feeling some tension
too. I expect it will let up this week! After the elections. We are so intent on having a change. At least when it's over we will know where we as a nation stand.

This is an aside. Things really do work out much better than I think at the time. It is always that way and still my faith falters for a bit. Then bolsters because I KNOW that the investements I make in time and energy always give back. Just the way of Spirit. Cassie mentioned memos. And truly, I believe we get messages. They are not always easy to understand. It seems patterns show up in my life quite frequently. I meet people with the same name. I grew so wary of anyone named *M* for a while. They were everywhere! Now, it is Clayton. That name means someone who dwells in a clay town. Not much there on first glance. It is such an unusual name. My current roommate, Clayton, is young (20-something) and doing an internship at a local hospital. Then he will go back to west Texas and finish his degree. He is only here for about three weeks. I never see him. He even went out of town for the weekend. After he leaves, another Clayton, older (50-ish) is scheduled to move into the room! What are the odds on that? I'm still having some doubts about the second Clayton, but the Universe seems to be telling me it is the best option. He will probably spend most of his time working or in the room. When I rented from friends, I stayed in my room most of the time too.

I love this thread. Did I say that before? It helps focus and give clarity.

From your recent posts, I thought your job had settled in and you were feeling good about it. Has something changed?

35. Wow, that's interesting--with similar names coming up
I get something like that--people enter my life who look like people I've had relationships with in the past. Right now I have two new coworkers who look exactly like coworkers I had at my last job. Funnily enough, the doppleganger of the one I was really close to, I'm not close to now, and the one at my last job that I couldn't STAND now has a twin that I'm pretty friendly with. I'm not sure what that's all about! I just go with it.

I love this thread too--love this group--it's so helful to get different people's perspective!

As for my job situation, yeah, it's a rollercoaster. I had thought that I was finally on top of the situation--the new VP liked my work etc., but he did a "three strikes" thing with me during the past week--three times he made comments to me as if I were an entry-level employee, explaining the VERY BASICS of my profession as if I didn't know what they were. He acts like we all have sprung fully formed from the half-shell when we started working at this job (for me, that was four years ago)--he has NO IDEA the experience I've amassed in my dozen years as a writer and editor (he was explaining proofreaders' marks to me, for chrissakes). The catch here is that he keeps talking about "sweeping changes" that include reassigning everyone to new jobs. But how can he do that if he has no idea what experience we've got and what we're capable of? I'm not sure I want to find out.

And just as my frustration was at its peak, a friend and former coworker sent me a description of a job opening at her new place. Serendipity? I wondered if I should apply. I did, and I figure if I'm supposed to make a move, then it will work out. If not, then so be it--I will stick around here if I'm supposed to.

36. Do you work for a magazine?
Or what? Sheesh, I had a few journalism classes and I know proofreading marks! d'oy

What is that guy's agenda? Are you still separated from your colleagues?
I just hate it when people are not upfront. What do you want? Either I can deliver or not.
But to never know where the target is? Impossible.

Good luck on the new scheme. I had a disastrous job. It was the most fun job I ever had. They wanted me to find $3 million worth of lost inventory. I did. The field techs had most of it. But then they wanted to cook some books and pretend like no one ever lost $3 million. I wondered, why did they hire me to find it just to hide it? I left and that company got sold and divided up and no one had their original jobs. They lost a lot of talent by playing tricky ricky games. These days, I look for integrity. Call me naive. But have actually started working on a great biz opportunity that feels more like fun than work, and I believe has integrity and win/win situation for all involved. It will take a while to develop. But I'm pitching.

Go get 'em, MG.

39. I work for a pretty large communications office
And we put out a magazine. My initial job was associate editor, but my eedjit boss has made sure I stopped writing stories for that. I still have second billing, but I have nothing to do with the magazine. I find it pretty insulting and take comfort in the fact that the other folks in the office are pretty horrified at the way I'm being treated. (Another manager at the same level as my eedjit boss calls him "Franco"--LOL!)

I am still separated, and it's quite difficult, especially since there have been other writers hired since I was moved, and they're all together. I'm the only writer who's separate.

As for being upfront, I totally agree, and everyone in my department is fritzing that this new VP is telling us NOTHING--not if we're moving our offices (with all the new hires, we're starting to be stacked vertically), not what our new jobs are going to be, not what the "big picture" is for the future--nothing. That sends morale into the shitter--and he doesn't even notice.

I swear, there are more bad managers in the world than you can shake a stick at. And I can say that, having been a manager at my last job.

Wow, they wanted you to cook the books?! That's amazing. Did you blow them in, or just leave? I agree about integrity--there's nothing wrong or naive about that.

Are you going to start your own business? I would love to do that. DH wants me to build up a freelance clientele, but I've been so out of touch with the writing community, it would take ages to collect enough clients to be viable--and we can't afford that. But it is in the back of my mind.

You go get 'em to, VSM! In the immortal words of Eric Cartman, "Kick ass!"

40. Cartman . my hero
He's just a bit adrift of nobility.

That separation thing at your job is something I've never understood. That is just freaky.

They didn't want me to cook the books. I didn't work in accounting. I did have to give a reporting to the accounting people. The EVP was the one in charge of what happened with the information. The stock value for that company got way up to $3.50 at one time (ahem). I don't know what all went down because I finished my project and my boss, who loved me, ostensibly, but set me up, behind my back, got my radar going full force, and I left. There was too much power play and the land of Oz stuff going on. I think if I had sat back a little and not taken things to heart, I could have outlasted all the big wigs (who all got canned). But c'est la vie. We do the best we can in the moment. It put me on a path to a more satisfying existence. One in which I am still finding my footing. But it is so much more rewarding to experience a little dare devil action than being a meely mouse to people who seem to live and breathe to take someone at the office down. A bit poorer, for sure.

It isn't exactly starting my own business. This is just too wild. All summer I talked with this guy in NJ. He is part of a biz opportunity, and I made an impression on him. My summer was a real roller coaster, with the freak-toid boyfriend and all that. Just a haze. But this opportunity struck home for me. What eventually happened is the NJ guy decided to make an investment for me, so I can go in full force. He backed my financial 100%. I have to get certified, this week. We worked together on the phone this past week and it was so much fun. These things take awhile to build, so I just have to hang in and keep pitching. Have you ever found yourself in a situation where everything you have experienced and learned prior seem to come into play? I have a couple of times. And this is one of those. It has total integrity. There is nothing else like it, and it benefits non-profits. I've done some fund raising, and this is a turn key opportunity for associations to make passive funds for all the good causes we care about. Anyone who takes note of the facts and figures has to be impressed. I know how much non-profits pay for a professional campaign to raise funds. It is really a no brainer for anyone who has the job of bringing in funds. No balls. No dinners. No campaign manager running around asking people for cash. Win/Win for all involved. And the NJ guy, who believes in me, is a real piece of inspiration himself.

I really feel that your new manager is playing a bit of hang-man. And I still wonder about his agenda. And what made him change paddles in mid stream? There was the EVP at the employer I mentioned. He had boats and traveled and I guess women. His contribution was to show up at one of our meetings and give a little rah rah tirade. Nothing. He contributed zero. He was a pretty face. One the company found they could do quite nicely without. It was a skank thing in more ways. Before I left, I transfered to the contracts department. More meetings and found that they were conspiring to write contracts they knew they could not honor. But just let the legal department take care of it later. I never said diddly. It is a wonder our society functions as well as it does. When you get a glimpse of behind the scenes, it just makes me want to say,
"Screw you guys, I'm going home."

41. Hey! I'm not fat! I'm big-boned!

Ah, Cartman. Our generation's Falstaff. BEEFCAKE!

Anyway. :)

Your previous work experience sounds harrowing! But your new opportunity sounds exciting! White light for the success of that! (Insert Homer Simpson voice here) Mmmmm...integrity...gaaaahhhhh... (drool)

Yeah, I've had just about enough of having to work with cretins. The office politics at my place is incredible. Really mindbending. And I used to work in advertising, so I thought I'd seen the worst of it--but nope. Higher education has advertising beat, for the sheer volume of stupidity and pettiness we have to slog through on a daily basis.

I can relate to your experience with a useless EVP. Had one at my last job, working a news station. She knew NOTHING, yet got six figures. I ran the Web site, made all the big decisions, worked all the long hours, and got...a whole lot less than six figures, lemme tell ya. But at least I had the respect of most everyone at the station, while she had none. Amazing, the waste-of-air execs you can run into in a lifetime of work, no?

As for my present VP, I don't know WHAT he's up to. He's been here since June and after our initial ray of hope that...yay we have a new VP and things are going to get better...we've all gotten down in the dumps about the way he's handling the whole department. Basically that he's NOT handling it at all.

A coworker of mine said he's just trying to ride out the bare minimum number of years in his contract so he can get his golden parachute and retire. He is kind of up there in years, so I wouldn't be surprised. What's interesting is that he's always sick. But he's not a sickly guy in general. My elder and I have talked about it and we're both convinced he doesn't want to be there, so he keeps "making" himself sick--one illness after another--so he can keep going home. That makes sense.

I do know that he is being run ragged by our new president, who wants to make all kinds of major changes at our place. But the VP just hasn't carved out enough time in his schedule to deal with his people. He just makes decisions, seemingly at random or off the cuff, and won't tell us why. It's like he doesn't care that he's playing with people's livelihoods. Of course if anyone could get through to him to tell him that, he'd be horrified. I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean it and isn't by nature malicious--he just doesn't...think.

And yeah, I REALLY wish our bank account would let me say "Screw you guys, I'm going home" and I could take off and eat cheesy poofs all day...

42. Now I am grateful
For freedom to be, and a sense of relief-no dictator Bush now. Thanks to all of the voters who voted. Pray for Nancy Pelosi, our planet, our group-that we be given the power to work towards real healing of our nation and our world.

A personal request: that I finally am able to handle my health challenges with courage, consistency and dignity. For my cat, that I am more loving and diligent in her care.

Amen, Amen, Amen.

46. I hope this is the right thread to say this, but I've had a very hard
time with sending light to those in the dark (and we KNOW who they are). But it occurred to me that I was not understanding (or better yet feeling) this concept, so I went back and read the new Matthew message. I don't offer that site or his messages up as one I totally accept or believe, but thanks to it, I now understand what he is saying. I thought I should post it on the new Matthew message thread, but it really is more of a prayer.

I was thinking it's time as a group perhaps, to make a time each week where we light a candle and send light/prayers to those powers that be that keep us in Iraq and living in fear. It's time to send visions of peace. I know many here have been holding that in their hearts and may already be doing so. Just thought it's time to make a joint effort of some sort, a unified peace and light chain. What do you think?

For starters, as a group let's all pick one day/evening each week to grow in light and spread it? Any thoughts?

As per Matthew.

Count me in if we do this.

Maybe make it a monthly thing.

50. A prayer of sincere thanks to all.
To all on this forum who prayed, visualized, manifested and never gave up the good fight.

Who never caved to the prevailing norms of greed, dishonesty and self interest.

Who always believed that right would prevail.

And despite living in a very painful time and place have never stopped helping others, providing service and care to those in need.

And despite the darkness all around us, continuing to try to grow, change and focus on goodness. Exhibiting courage and wisdom every day.

And a thank you to the Divine for sustaining, nurturing and guiding us.

Thank you all.

53. A prayer for all in need on this thread.
A very traditional Catholic prayer, so the wording is outdated a bit and not in vogue. But for me it is a prayer to the female energy in the Divine. Blessed Mary, like Quan Yin, is especially helpful to women and children. One of my guides works under Mary and I say this prayer many times a day to connect to them.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

54. Please keep my daughter in your thoughts
Ever since her auto accident two years ago ( altho the accident was not her fault, she was the injured one ), she has changed mentally - much more time challenged, impulsive and easy to anger - and is in pain. She is making very poor judgements about men friends. She is also looking for another apartment although we have offered her a place to stay.

This is not the person we knew before the accident and even though she is unmarred on the outside, there is some deep hurt inside. there was a therapist; she hasn't seen the need to resort to her again.

Please, please keep her in your thoughts! I will keep you all in my thoughts as well.

Peace,
Yorkie

You may want to recheck some things. Occasionally some problems are latent, and may still bother her. Are you sure that she doesn't need to be rescanned, and have better pain relief work done? Pain relief is now a specialty, and that goes for psychological pain relief as well.

Hypnosis-I recommend Potentials Unlimited's Good Health as a starter. You can download an mp3 file and burn a cd for her and give it to her if she's receptive.

non-political thing. Just a friendly chat. For those interested, we did get a chance to talk a little after the vote, and perhaps we will talk a little more before he returns to California. It's just that I discovered during our talk that we're both still reticent to make new friends after highly questionable relationship experiences in the past. This fledgling friendship will have to be assiduously nurtured in a sensitive way if it is to succeed. Send me energy for achieving social delicacy and tact, please. We both need to be careful with each other.

Prayer for better judgement regarding alcohol and driving, peace and protection for his one day in jail, and the divinely ordered resolution of it all. That he successfully completes his sentence and probation and gains better judgement with no long-lasting repercussions for his indiscretion. That you handle it with grace and peace, that all things needed to be done get done.

72. Oh,
I am so grateful! Thank you!
I would like to assure you, that he has definately turned the corner on his growth in this area, at least as far as I can see.
To be honest, it was not so much an alcohol-fueled problem as the hurt underneath, and how he was choosing to deal with it,as well as stressors in his life. He told me just this evening that he has been letting his ego get in the way too much, and he thinks that is what is a big part of the problem.
After his first day in jail, he has not even craved alcohol. At all. Methinks this may end up being very, very helpful in the long run, as much as I hate that he has to be so miserable, even for one day a week.

Thank you again for such beautiful energy.

http://charmingbitch.typepad.com/charmingbitch/2006/11/index.html

She's a person I exchanged e-mails with on another board literally once or twice, after she was really nice to me when I was having a little emotional issue last summer. I was just thinking about her last week, or, more accurately, her screen name, because that and her funny-ness are about all I know about her. Except that she has recently lost her infant son, which, gah...there are no words. So, good thoughts for her undoubtedly slow and unimaginably painful recovery would be much appreciated. Seems like that's about all I can do for her.

80. It's sweet that you thought to ask for protection for the baby.
Because he passed so recently, I kinda assumed, as I do with all angel babies, that he was taken swiftly back to the other side with no problems.

And yes, my friend, whose grief sent so massive a wave of pain through our little corner of this universe that it touched (literally) every single person who could possibly be of help to her at this time (even those of us who only knew her, briefly, through the Internet) has a long (the longest?) road ahead of her. Fellow posters? You may not want to read through her blog entries about her recovery from both Katrina and an unintended pregnancy before her son was born, as I did today. That story could leave one hollowed out.

I just wanted to make sure Mary and Quan Yin got involved.
Never hurts to go right to the top. :)

The better the baby does in the afterlife, the better the mother
will do. She is no doubt still connected to him energetically and
if he makes a good transition that will help her immensely.

It does appear that your friend is going thru some major major karmic
lessons and or debts at this time. My heart goes out to her. Katrina
and the loss of a baby. The universe is putting too much on her plate
it would seem.

83. A prayer from Lincoln's 1863 Thanksgiving Proclamation

I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to his tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.

97. Well, if it helps you, I've been imagining you surrounded
in a whirl of twenty dollar bills on average of twice a week. Don't think that's necessarily helped in the way you would like, but I've been trying.

100. Hey, every bit helps!!
I have certainly been less worried about it than usual this week.
I was just challenged to keep it up, and I think I'm doing pretty well.
Thank you so much for the great visualization!

98. As Stella said ..
tests seem to be quite common. I will agree with you that the Universe is showering you with an abundance of money and all good things. When those doubts come for me, I immediately refute them with a positive message. And I especially like the one Stella/Cassie posted.

99. hi, dreamer
hang in there, I am, too.
I am going through some serious stuff myself, too - it's really challenging to let go of "my negative worry thoughts about money".
On Monday I lost use of our only car from our palm tree dropping a fond into the rear window. Don't have insurance, did not have funds to call profesional trimmers to do the once in a while cleaning of dead fonds dangling up there, and other such things I attracted.

Sending you all the powers of abundance, peace of mind - breathe it, feel it - you have it.

:)

A man who worked very hard in the 2006 election just had a heart attack.
He is in a KC hospital.

105. Um, you guys? BlueIris needs comforting vibes.
She's not having a major crisis or anything, she just went all crazy and took some leaps of faith today and now she's freaking out. I wish we had an icon that could accurately capture the freaked-out-edness, but we don't. Picture the figure in that painting, "The Scream," and that's pretty close though.

108. Thanks. Things are a little less wiggy today, but last night...
was really yucky. All kinds of nasty "Oh, my God I am going to die in the street like a stray dog" kinds of irrational fears plaguing me. Not pretty. Thanks for your support.

He has not been feeling well and she is taking him to his doctor to get evaluated. Lots of light to the MNFam.

Can't imagine having a Down's syndrome child.

Blessings to her and her boy. Hope it's nothing serious.
