"Why the Sky is Not Falling" - astrological analysis about upcoming economic energies
(Note from I Have A Dream: There's been some talk of collapse of the dollar at the beginning of the Fifth Day of the Mayan calendar, which begins on November 23, 2006. I found this to be interesting because of that prediction.)

Why the Sky is Not Falling
by M. Temple Richmond

Contrary to numerous recent reports, there are many good reasons to conclude that the monetary sky of our planet is not actually falling.

Predictions of imminent economic collapse have been circulating in the New Age community for at least three decades. The scenarios thus promulgated generally feature the failure of all paper and electronic media of exchange, the end of society as we know it, the return to a primitive state of life and barter, and extreme shortages of all commodities. Some also contain visions of either complete anarchy or the establishment of a vastly predatory government in the U.S. and around the world.

To all this a careful analysis of astrological influences can respond with a very different outlook. In other words, there are very good reasons why the sky is not now falling and will not be falling at any time in the future with which we currently living human beings are concerned. This report examines those very good reasons.

Prediction of future trends by astrological methods is based on the measurement and interpretation of several different classes of phenomena. Among these, one of the surest indicators of planetary economic trends is planetary pair relationships. Planetary pair relationships are created by the interactions of the slowest moving planets in our solar system as they are observed within the plane of the solar system, which from the earthly point of view is called the ecliptic or zodiac. Viewing within this frame of reference, we see these planets move in cyclic relationships one to another, converging close to the same division of the zodiac at one point and then some long time after, finding themselves at maximum separation. In astrological language, this is to say that planets move from conjunction to opposition, and then back to opposition again.

but how did this get shoved off on "New Age"?

The best I recall, since I've been "New Age" since 1982 is no such thing. Bunk.

There are no shortages in New Age or Old Age. We can trade Puka shells. We can just barter.
Or kill a hog and gather round the friends and family.

Do we not know by now that the very idea of "shortages" is freak?
I asked for my need, and my friend, who posted this, IHAD, felt blessed to give to a need.

The only shortages are caused by the greedy sob's who want us to believe in shortages. Why, I don't know. Like that makes their cow all the more sacred?

No, chicken littles, the sky is not falling. No matter how often we awake with an impending sense of doom.

Thanks for posting Dream. To remind us, the Universe does not know "lack".

If you could see how the clover has multiplied in my yard, and forget about getting a handle on the wandering jew, and the ivy is all over the place.

Life is the natural order of things.

In other words, the Universe is Abundant.

I have to take pause and think of our sisters and brothers on the other side of the planet who are this day and night being blown up and burned by greedy white men on this side of the planet. There is NOTHING New Age about that.

Decades ago, when I had another faith and another God, I cried asleep every night for the people in the Middle East who were even then blowing each other up. One eventually runs out of tears. One then has to stop and say. Why are ya'll doing this? Is a rock so important? Does not Jehovah God, Mohammad, Jesus, Jew, Gentile, Palastinian mean more than a freakin ROCK? There is enough for all of us. Let's sit down and eat!

Damn. I'm just Native American stock and the harvest always comes in. I want us to sit and smoke and eat. Not that hard.

This also reminds me of how my mother would freak out if I put a pot in her kitchen sink. You might have to get out the sos and scrub it so not to leave a pot mark. My dad was gone. He was flesh and blood. If only he could have been made of ceramic. That fucking sink will be sitting in a land fill or the same house long after the breath and life are gone out of me. So I'm supposed to worry about a chunk of ceramic that will outlive me by thousands of years? Excuse me. Not a chance.
