So, anyone else really curious to see what Uranus going direct today brings?

These people had a nice write up of allll the possible changes that could result from this particular retro-to-direct transition, although they're a little more focused on the "shadow" period of the last two weeks than they are about what happens from here on out in this article:

Their insights about potential terrorist issues (which I'm not concerned about) are worth noting maybe, as are their comments about trouble with electronic equipment (one of my machines totally fried two days ago, and while a lot of you know that events like this are not uncommon during Uranus' "shadow" periods nor are they the #1 electronic malfunction we should be worried about--I was shocked that the thing finally went, so watch out for even your most trusty pieces of tech).

They didn't spend enough time on the significance of the Uranus trine to the upcoming new moon in Scorpio for my taste, (maybe new insights about the election results will surface somewhere...oh, hell, I'm sensing crazy new political developments all over the place in the wake of this new moon) but their summary reminded me to be wary of Uranus' retro-to-direct shadow period from here on out. I now realize that two of the most unexpected (and devastating) events in my entire life fell in my lap during The Time of the Shadow. Yes, they brought positive and necessary changes into my life as a result, but, but--!! I don't know why it's taken me so long to figure out the Uranus-going-direct connection to those two points in time.

Hee. I'm actually feeling a tad optimistic at the moment. Sorta (I am a Taurus!). I've had a chance to "brace" (and try to unbrace) for the changes to come. Good luck to the rest of you!

1. Yeah,

in some ways her talk of the terrorists and terrorism reminds me of the boy king - always wanting us to be scared. I think Uranus and its shocking bolts of lightening and such can be much more mundane. :)

I've been so caught up in the local races that my life was on hold for the past almost two months. But, last week I started feng shuing my house - I knew it truly needed some help clearing out things, moving the energy, etc., so I'm feeling like I'm creating changes.

I also look at the turning into the Fifth Day, happening on Thanksgiving I think, as a major move forward, as well as a healer telling me the end of November could see some major changes, new directions, for me.

All in all, I'm truly looking forward to this next phase.

Really interesting stuff, BlueIris! On the electrical stuff, as you know, husband's laptop went down over two months ago. As of a few days ago until this morning, I was catching and eliminating viruses on both my laptop and the home computer--usually we are very protected.

Guess that Time of the Shadow can be a doozy for us too.

I'm glad to see that you are feeling more hopeful. I think it's about time stuff started turning around for you.

These are all aspects of my chart, and I have NO idea how this particular transit will manifest! I'm actually kind of excited by it, because I have felt like I'm ready for a change in more than one area of my life lately...

If Uranus going direct is anywhere as good as Mercury direct, I'll be one of those people who get an unexpected surprise that is wonderful.

My sad Mercury retrograde story is this: I moved out to Las Vegas (Why??) after my dad died this summer to help out my mom. I bought a used car with her help - always a bad move when you're over 50. anyway, I totally trusted my instincts with the dealer, who I made look me in the eye to assure me that the car was in good enough shape (110,000 miles I know it won't be perfect) to last me at least a year or so until I could afford a newer car.

Well, the week after i brought it home, it was leaking oil. I took it back and they said to wait until my guarentee kicked in in 2 weeks. (Mom insisted on a guarentee) Well, the warrenty company - after 5 days of a shell game going back and forth - said they wouldn't pay for the car. I found out the repairs cost just as much as I paid for the car!!! I was devistated more about the fact that the dealer lied to me and I didn't see it coming than about the money. I mean, if I can't trust my instincts, then everything I've worked for all these years was off-line out here.

But jusst as Mercury went direct, I went to the dealership and they told me they were paying for everything!! Yes, that's right. I was right. They were honest, even when it felt like they weren't. I even told them to forget about fixing the sunroof - I just needed a car that didn't leak. Well, I found out yesterday, that they agreed to pay for a whole new sunroof ($900.00) rather than leave it broken.

So, my faith in humanity - and in my instincts - is restored. Now all I need is for the publisher I sent my manuscript to before I moved to want the book, and Uranus will have my vote as my favorite planet. (I do have Uranus in my first house and an Aquarian MC, so he's already up there with Mercury, my chart ruler!!)

That's my happy tale for you all. I asked Spirit to spread the good energy around. Hope you get some.

Thanks for sharing your story - I've got Uranus in my first house too and, most times, I love it. There are some times when I feel I obviously just don't belong in a world that's so backward, but for the most part I enjoy having that energy there.

Uranus and New Moon are NOT trine, thus prediction is in error.
