A general basic astro question
Right now, it says "six planets have congregated in the 12th house" (2/17)
but when I look at my own chart with the transits those six are congregated between the 7th and 5th. If I look at Jupiter it's in the 4th. (2/17)

Now I presume, when we look at, for example, this reading : All of the other planets are bunched across the chart, contained within a square of Venus and Jupiter, an aspect that can be self-indulgent or careless or both—so be watchful over the coming weeks. If your plans and strategies call for doing things the way they have always been done, you’re standing alone. If you think you know what’s going on, think again; six planets have congregated in the 12th house.

I take the reading as a general energy trend, but how does one read and relate it to our own chart? As it so happens the 5th through the 7th in my natal chart do not have any planets - but Chiron and Lillith sit in 5th and 6th respectively.

I am kind of dense on understanding this...

thanks

1. Sounds as though it's either a solar chart or a program that puts Aries always on the ascendant.
If memory serves (don't have your data) you have Virgo rising. . .? In that case you've totally got it right.

You know far more than you think you do silly.

I know this stuff is wickedly confusing at times and entirely riddled with contradictions and inaccuracies as people and programs often try to generalize intricately complex info.

Sorry, I was clumsy in the construct of my question

When we talk in general, like in my example, it is from daykeeperjournal for the New Moon 2/17 what really confuses me is when she talks about the planets being in the 12th house - I presume she is creating a chart for 2/17/2007 - so in essence we are looking at a chart of the collective?

I guess, I am trying to figure out what chart astrologers use to interpret those, i.e 2/17/2007 00 GMT (?) and how that chart relates or does not relate to someone's personal chart.

on edit: and I am looking at my astro natal plus transit chart - Ah...should I be looking at the progressed chart - while it's getting hotter - the clumping is still not around the 12th...they're in the 8-11th houses....

I think my brain just had a freeze and needs a restart...

3. Well if it was for the 17th, it probably was a chart for the New Moon.
The thing is, it's crazy to address house placements for any lunation on the web since it's so. . .so. . .so. . .world wide and all. So varying time zones apply around the world. The angles are arbitrary unless one is focusing on a specific time zone.

Transits are akin to the astrological weather pattern. We can respond to them in a myriad of ways. We can rally in the face of adversity or we can cave. We can harness opportunities or remain stuck and oblivious.

Progressions are in a way, deeper in that they reflect how we are hot wired for growth as infants and those energies are imprinted with great relevance to our potential evolution. Of course we always have free will to respond in a proactive way or a self defeating one, but progressions are somehow interwoven into our unconscious on a more personal level.

If you require any assistance with your progressions feel free to PM me. They are for some strange reason sort of my specialty.

Still there are such a multitude of approaches to astrology that we all tend to get to the stage where, like a kid in a candy store, we want to try all of them. Then one tends to become overwhelmed or burdened and often realizes that any esoteric tool is just that. When one's tool chest becomes cumbersome and too heavy to pick up it ceases to serve it's purpose. Just maybe trust what you are drawn to.

I've also noticed that many immerse themselves in astro study and then want to throw all their books and charts out the window and simply live their lives for a while. We all have to find a delicate balance of introspection and experience.

Initiating rumpel's reboot on her astro sensibilities. . . NOW LOL

4. fully rebooted
At least on the operating system.

I am amazed at how many different chart versions there are - I went on an exploratory mission, yesterday and just clicked on every single one at astrodienst.

I just love the Astro Worldmap. Aside from any lack of my comprehension level - this gives me a visual of potential numerous energy influences around the globe at any given moment. The dance of intertwined energies of the universe. :)

Considering that we all evolved out of something in deep space that formed matter, each and every one of us, the complexity and variety of astrology is inevitable.

Just fascinating! It certainly is a candy store. The basics of astrology should be a requirement in school - it will expand the minds of our kids, instead of ridiculing that which is yet unknown as quackery.

The progression is certainly something I find interesting since I notice many of the initial tendencies I was born with have at this point already been resolved or are in the process to - As I understand it, the Tzolkin Maya calendar, which is independent of the physical planetary cycles and posititions, takes 52 years to complete every combination of energies, therefore they said, unless you have experienced all the combinations - you would not be qualified to teach - I am readying myself.
So, the progression should be an indicator for me not to repeat unnescessary classes - and just move on...

There are very few astro programs for Macs, and at that - I am doing it for cheap. It has to be free - until I manifest some moolah
It is called Kairon. So I am still using it in trial mode. Up to 30 launches. I have not launched it in a while - I need to nail down the basics, whithout freezing
up the operating system...

Thanks, Stella I will bug you with tons of questions...hopefully soon. :)

5. You may be looking at a world chart?
There are all kinds of natal charts: for individuals, nations, the world.
6 billion people, all their energies mingling.

I think a world chart is done as a natural chart.
That is Aries in the first house etc, winding up with Pisces in the 12th?

Look at the signs for a minute, not the houses. Are the planets in the same signs
in your natal chart and the world chart?
