I'd like to invite you to read this. |
|
It's not necessarily inspiring or uplifting, although I found it so, since it describes what I have experienced. Do be ready for some crude language. But it is a well-written and expansive description of part of my life, so I wanted to share with my friends. I hope you find it, at the least, interesting; and maybe you can see why I posted it here... http://hobostripper.com/471/the-stripper-and-the-cosmic-titty/

Thanks for sharing. And to think I thought strippers did it for the money. Who knew? I have to admit that culturally that it is strange that breasts are thought of as sexual objects, when they are for nurturing infants.
To be honest i think you must have a really strong aura and psychic boundaries to be able to pull this off like you do. I bet some of the girls don't, and I hope that you are able to provide them with your guidance and help.
I did feel a bit of hurt in that story about your father....................I guess I am not into soul mates demanding that people give up their kids. And I probably would not have responded as you did.
Cosmic tittying is not my thing, but it is yours, and I am glad you are able to express your thoughts on it so well.
Now "How to Pee While You Live in a Van" was really, really wonderful. I found myself picturing the whole piece.
Edited to add
If this wasn't written by you, then the above applies to the writer where applicable.

2. this was worth reading |
|
I read it because you posted it, lil. Did you write it, or are you just sharing something that resonates?
On a broader (no pun intended) level, it resonated with me too. I'm not a stripper, but several of my friends and I have remarked upon a trend of strong women taking care of needy husbands. Including the Governor of our state, whose husband is a putz. I've been thinking it's a function of these guys being raised in the stay-at-home mom 1950s, that they became accustomed to being totally taken care of and now expect no less. And we women, especially strong women, get sucked into that neediness, and end up taking care of them 1) because we can and 2) because it makes us feel worthy in the way your article describes.
I love the phrase cosmic tittage. I also love the notion of thinking of myself as a healing priestess instead of a strong woman who's being sucked dry. The more I think about it, the more I love it. Feminism has become a dirty word, it has perverted over the years. But as the daughter of an Irish mother, I have always been and always will be a feminist, despite the trends. Thanks for posting this.
I just realized, as a result of reading your article, that there are no strong, sexy smilies on that lookup table. Hmm. Maybe we need to make one up.

6. From one who wasn't around men from age 8 to 16 |
|
I can appreciate the blog and what is said, but it is a dance I never danced. At age 8, I lost my grandfather, who was the head of our household (he passed away), my father, who simply deserted the family, never to be seen or heard from again, and my brother, who couldn't handle the stress and ran away to join the military. For 8 years, I lived with my mother and grandmother exclusively, and there were no males in the picture at all, except the occasional visit of uncles. So I had a whole different perspective of women and their roles in life as independent of men.
I was never interested in taking care of a needy husband, and, in fact, chose not to date when I became older because it seemed that every male out there was what I called "a little boy".
I'm wondering if the inclination for being the cosmic breast is one that is learned from age 8 until puberty, or rather it was simply the situation in my particular case that caused any inclination to go that way stop.

5. Your life experience has been different than mine |
|
I understand the concept of needy, dependent men, though. Those kind were always foisted upon me while I was single. I rejected them all, as I was looking for a man, a soul mate with whom I could share my spiritual journey. I was deserted by all the men in my life when I was 8, which I think had to be a factor in my view of the opposite sex. I assume that you were raised around men all your life. Would you say that your view of woman as nurturer to men was conceived during those early years, say between 8 and puberty?
