I wanted to start one last April thread, so I could share this with you

Soul of our souls, Spirit of our spirits,
And the One embracing All,
Divine One, of infinite names and none:
Powers of East, South, West and North,
And all who weave the Universe:
I call to you, within and without -
This night, this rite.

Divine Air - bring imagination and creativity to the world.
Like the far-seeing hawk,
May we see this situation as the whole complex tapestry that it is,
And be in-spired with fresh and virgin weavings.
Like the unfettered winds,
May we be freed from old assumptions and patterns in how we respond,
And breath in new possibilities.

Divine Fire - bring clarity and compassionate passion to the world.
Like the bright light of the Sun,
May we see clearly the way-forward of "what is necessary" for all life,
And the time to come.
Like the transforming flames,
May our grief, fear and rage be transformed into compassion for all -
All victims and perpetrators alike.

Divine Water - bring yielding and wisdom to the world.
Like the gentle erosion of water upon stone,
May we release our personal and cultural biases,
And acknowledge the 'wrong-thinkings' that we may harbour.
Like the deepening twilight upon the earth,
May we remember the lessons of the past,
And contemplate their meaning for the future.

Divine Earth - bring greening and surety to the world.
Like the stretching branches of the tree,
May we stretch ourselves
Into the life-affirming paths of reconciliation and healing.
Like the deep peaceful dome of night,
May we stand firm in the Goddess and the God,
Through this 'dark night' of confusion and fear, and false 'stars'.

May our souls be strong, steady and revealing.
May our spirits be en-lightened, faithful and sure.
May our choices be wise and enduring, for the generations to come.

2. I have a request.

Things in my line of work (vocational rehab counselor) are not going so well right now. My company contracts with the Washington State Dept. of Labor and Industries, and they (L&I) are doing yet another one of their "special projects", which entails NOT sending out many referrals, which is my bread and butter. I've had to dip into the money my mom left me just to pay bills (thank The Maker I have the money, but that's not really what I wanted to use it for). And it sounds like things are going to get worse before they get better.

I had lunch with a friend of mine the other day, who used to be a VRC also. She still does a lot of the same kinds of things, but it's for Boeing, and overall, it's a lot better situation. She does not work directly for Boeing; rather, she works for a division of the International Machinists Union, but she has applied for 3 different positions directly with Boeing. She told me that if she gets one of those positions, she wants me to apply for her current job. The bennies are good, it's not far from where I live, and my gut reaction was, "YES!"

So, to make a short story even shorter, my request is for good vibes that my friend Betsy gets one of the Boeing jobs, and that I get her current job. I think it would be a great outcome for the both of us.

12. I need some calm, steady light today.

I'm going to be looking at two or three living arrangement possibilities. I'm nervous all a sudden. They are all very different from one another. The one that I THINK is most likely, almost gives me knots in my stomach. I know I won't be able to proceed with that kind of body warning.

At the moment, Courage is needed. Direction, also.
Decisions and Changes give me the willies in the best of circumstances. Thank you all.

The place I've been most afraid of is probably the one I'll go with. One is no longer available, and the other may be in a few months. I certainly do feel much better about it than I did earlier.

The split second I saw this thread in LBN http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x3287438 , I flashed on his life being in danger. But if that's the case, the plot would be in concert with our folks yet making it look like the terra-ists. Nothing like making a martyr of the present preznit to skootch votes toward a Repub sympathy vote in the fall.

I hate when I flash on stuff like this and will breathe a sigh of relief to be proven wrong. Yeah, even though I do despise the man, I don't wish harm on anyone. x(

35. Hi, MG! I'm crazy busy! May's going to be even busier.

I have an end of May deadline for a big part of my project at work. As long as I can get it done, I don't mind. (I'm hoping to be able to do it without spending every waking moment there though.) I know that you know how that feels.

But I do know the craziness of deadlines. Sending light so you complete everything in a timely manner and with time to spare!

I've got another mad round of deadlines, myself, but I think I can stay on top of it all. If I make it through the next couple of weeks, I'll be golden. Not only regular work, but I also was tapped to write some PR stories for my son's school, and it's all come due at once. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it... :crazy:

I guess it has been an intense month. As an Aries person, my sympathies...

and while I was able to read some of the posts but not all, my thoughts are with all those who requested assistance. I, myself, am in place I'd rather not be...and feel not in a position to offer much of a positive vibes I have left....what I can give in positives - I will -

31. Okay I am visualizing sunshine

Shining down on you. If you are light deprived you might try a tiny dose of a tanning bed (ach--my daughter in Seattle complains about this all the time and I send her for a *minor* dose of a tanning bed.) But sunshine has all the wavelengths and should help take care of the rip someone's head off syndrome.

32. I need help.

Gas prices today rose to $3.75 (from $3.57 this morning). Last night, I dreamed they were at $4.29. I'm seriously starting to panic. :scared:

My wages have NOT gone up, but everything else has. I know that trying to live on $300 per week is more than what many have, but here, in my life, as much as I've cut back, it doesn't seem to be enough.

I know panic is not the best way to handle this, but reality is setting in and all the good feelings I generate, and the visualizations of plenty, are not making the gas, energy, and food prices go down or putting more money in my wallet. I don't know what to do. Help!

37. Gah, I experienced the same thing with gas prices today

You're not alone, Delphinius. There's a gas station at the end of my block that usually has the lowest prices around. I noted this morning that the price of regular was $3.65, which was pretty good (comparatively), but by the time I got back from running my errands and stopped at the gas station before going home, it had hopped up to $3.71. :banghead:

I was just reminiscing how, the first year I had my Jeep (2000), I could fill up for about $20. Today my fillup totaled more than $55. Sigh.

I also know the feeling of panic, my dear--many of us are at the financial breaking point. I dread going to the supermarket, myself. Deep breath and trust--we WILL get through this. :hug:

40. Lots of L & L to all those requesting it for themselves or others up thread.

I had a problem with my keyboard and had several non functional keys on my keyboard which meant a whole lot of cutting, pasting, and a whole lot of time was required to post a few sentences.

Thankfully, the circumstance has been remedied.
