Need help with a dream.
Edited on Tue May-27-08 11:13 PM by shraby
In my dream which was very short, I was standing across the road in front of the Capitol in Washington D.C., just looking at the building. I can't remember if it was day or night, but all of a sudden a lightning bolt hit it right at the very top. One of those real wide bolts and then it went like a sheet that covered the whole building..then I woke up. I didn't get the feeling that the event was bad or anything, just was kind of amazed and wondered what it meant.

1. Well, a lot of the dream interpreters here would tell you to look at what that image means to you...
Edited on Tue May-27-08 11:47 PM by BlueIris
and you should, (it was your dream after all) but I'll go out on a limb and say you are yet another voter who has picked up on the potential for an election-related "shocker" later this year. I'm still predicting a big "twist" with regard to the Democrats' presidential nominee and to the Republicans' ticket.

2. The image means absolutely nothing to me.
It came out of nowhere at all. It really was amazing the way the lightning engulfed the Capitol but did no harm, at least I don't think it did..I woke up right away.

3. Wow. Did it look like The Tower card?
That was BlueIris' draw awhile back.

4. Yeah, and as messed up as this sounds considering the events that have taken place since,

I don't think we've hit that "Tower" moment yet. Stay tuned...

5. Freedom stands on the top of the Capital
She's being charged back into service.

When we visited DC earlier this month I spread sunflower seeds all over the city. Wherever we went, all over the National Mall and out to Georgetown and then in all directions I dropped seeds here and there. They were charged with the energetic essence of our home. Froghaven is sacred and I was told to reclaim Washington DC as a sacred site by seeding that energy.

It was good for me.

6. While I think it would be best to rely on your own feelings and impressions about the lightening,
Edited on Wed May-28-08 01:30 AM by BlueIris
specifically the idea that the lightening struck the Capitol but did no damage, here's a passage from a book on dream symbols I own ("The Secret Language of Dreams," by David Fontana):

"Lightening suggests inspiration, but warns the dreamer that flashes of brilliance can also be destructive. Lightening can also be representative of the awesome power of nature, and of the forces that lie beyond the dreamer's control."

Other interpretations of the significance of lightening in dreams (pulled from various sites):

Lightning in your dreams foreshadows happiness and prosperity of short duration...

Lightning may also be a warning in your dream. If you have fears about lightning in waking life, a person whom you are with or a building that you enter in your dream may cause a lightning effect...

A symbol of enlightenment, emerging from the darkness into the light...

The early, creative stages of a project...

Initiating something...

Anger or aggression ...

Lightning in your dreams, foreshadows happiness and prosperity of short duration...

Lightning represents energy and a fantastic, altering force. It is generally a positive dream symbol that represents the dreamers "awakened" state of consciousness...

Lightning (rod...still kinda relevant, though)...To see a lightning-rod, denotes that threatened destruction to some cherished work will confront you...

Lightning: Luck like a bolt from the blue will surely follow a dream of this electrical phenomenon of nature, unless it was accompanied by rain and thunder—in which case it is still an omen of good luck, but will be preceded by a period of anxiety...

LIGHTNING: Message; clarity; illumination...

Lightning: Sudden vision. High honors. Discord between partners.

10. That image, "the lightning engulfed the Capitol but did no harm"
would seem to me to indicate an enlightenment. Ususally dreams do relate to the personal, but I think that sometimes we are given a glimpse into other dimensions, just for a split second, whether awake or asleep, and the purpose is to help us see the truth. It is a gift.

11. After thinking on it a bit, I believe you've
probably come the closest to the meaning of the dream or vision or whatever it was.

8. I would see it in this case if it was my dream
as an illumination from above, the Higher Forces, clarifying everything. Since it didn't do any damage I think it's maybe your seeing the coming enlightenment coming to the Congress, maybe as a result of the elections upcoming, as if the Higher Forces are taking a hand in the results to come

I hope that's it anyway. I think McCain would be far worse than W. McC is a pretty clear warmonger and delusional as well. Not a good combination.

May I ask you if there was an aircraft that flew in there before that? I know it wasn't part of your dream, but maybe it was. Can you remember?

13. No aircraft. Just a wide bolt of lightning.
