Poor family dog got skunked this morning and she's feeling very sad. |
|
My son-in-law was getting ready for work when our Molly dog got into it with a skunk and was sprayed while she had been let out to do her business. He didn't have time to deal with it so she's been stinky Molly all day. Of course, I have been keeping her at a distance, not letting her in my house like I usually do when she wants to visit. Her dog and kitty companions are shunning her as well. Now she's walking around with her tail between her legs with that, "Was it something I said?" look on her face. Her master will be home in a couple of hours to give her a de-stinking and a bath, but she could use some warm feelings sent her way so she doesn't feel so bad. Poor baby.

you poor girl. I'm sending rays of smiles and fun times your way - once you're "de-skunked" everything will be OK. {{hugs}}
Cleita, it seems like someone here in this group had to ask about de-skunking remedies just a while ago ... could you find it for some cleaning hints? This google search is not kind to me - it might be kinder to you. :hi:

2. I think there was too but family has it all figured out. |

My son-in-law works for a farm supply outfit so his co-workers who all live out in the country like we do have been giving him a wealth of information and things he can use once he gets home because their dogs have been skunked at one time or the other as well. Until he gets home to look after her though she's one sad little doggy. Thanks for rays. I'm looking at her through the window and she's looking back at me like she knows they are coming her way. :-)

There's nothing worse than a doggie with a sad look. Hope Molly gets some extra lovins after she's de-stunk.

4. Oh my goodness, Cleita |

How sad is that? I am sure you are talking to her, but, maybe she needs some extra "talk lovin'" from afar?
Thank goodness her master will be home soon.
Poor little thing.

5. For such acute senses the smell must be agonizing |
|
I hope that somehow the nose goes numb after a while to spare her poor senses. Light and Reiki to Molly on the way!

7. Thanks to all of you who replied. Molly is all squeaky clean today and |
|
smelling like a rose. I couldn't believe what they used to destink her but it worked, the feminine product Massagenill (sp.?)

8. I am glad it is over with the stink. It was me who posted |
|
when my Newfie brought a baby skunk.
The dog was easily de-skunked but my room! I ended up using Mrs. Myers All Purpose to wipe down the screen...
