i experienced a 'shift' the other day |
|
...I can't find another word to describe it, but I was sitting at my computer at work and suddenly, my vision went strange - everything within my line of sight 'flickered', a bit like a tv signal coming in and out. It disoriented me for less than a second, and then all seemed to go back to 'normal'.
It was really odd.

1. hmm sounds interesting! |

although not the identical experience, I've been having some similarly strange stuff happen as well. Mostly intense mind states that would not be easy to describe. Maybe it's the combination of so many dark forces gathering, plus the sense of being right on the edge of ascension. That could really do it. Or it could be something electrical that is in the air?

I agree, whatever's going on, the air is highly charged.

Well, at least by sharing some of these unusual experiences, we can know that we're not 'losing it' . I have felt, lately, not so much electrical current as you are describing, but a heightened emotional state. I don't know, I suppose there are so many tools that one can consult. If it's aspects, or a realignment of energy on the planet, or whatever. at some point I just lose interest in explaining things, and get caught up in the experiencing of it all.

Do you mean you zoned out or something? I've been having that happen here and there. I just zone out for a few seconds or minute's.

No, I was sitting there doing work, looking at the screen (engaged, as it were) when it happened.

8. sounds familiar to me. i was afraid it was a mini-stroke at first. |
|
but then the weird thing was the few times recently that i was in the same room with my mother and we'd have the same experience at the same time. it'd be like the world suddenly has the lights dim, as if the power is browning out, and the world suddenly shifts like a motionless earthquake briefly.
normally i've had several of those and for the most part thought i was either having a petit mal or a stroke (which is silly, they were nothing like either, but when you are stunned you're willing to explain it with anything). but only when i've heard my mom experience the same thing, in the same room, at the same time, and tell me, that's when i thought it was something else. guess it's like a universal shift? slight weakening of the barrier between living and dead? who knows? could be just weird brown outs that make my mother and i dizzy (though the sun doesn't normally brown out...).
but then i find weird strange electrical occurences happening by me anyway. things like street lights going out when you walk by them, batteries draining faster than normal, hearing a television even when it is on a blank and black channel with the sound off, friends computers/equipment magically screwing up when i'm around, even though they swear it's the most stable machine ever, etc. one of my friends just calls me a 'probability nexus,' in that strange and unusual events normally happen around me. some days i think he's right, because the paranormal and unusual feels sane and mundane to me.
meh, chalk it up to another sign of the end times. hope that cheers you up! :+

9. Maybe it's the matrix flickering. ;-) |
|
But as for "...street lights going out when you walk by them..."
That happens to me too. I usually walk home after work, over a couple miles. And it's not the lights burning out when I just happen to walk by. This happens frequently, not just occasionally and in different places. Enough so that I eventually noticed. What the heck is that about, I wonder?

10. i always thought it was an energy saving measure by the city. |
|
but having motion sensors that turn off as soon as someone is walking past at night is patently stupid. wouldn't being lit at that time be the entire purpose of those street lights? and wouldn't rolling turning off/on waste more energy? i mean a lot of energy goes in to the initial lighting, whereas most of the lamps themselves are energy saving and/or cheap. and the weird thing is the lamps come on after awhile.
i honestly can't figure it out logically, but if anyone is involved with city planning and knows the reason behind it i'd be glad to know (especially to know that it ain't me and that it's perfectly normal).

11. This was discussed on a previous thread |
|
Here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=245&topic_id=6721&mesg_id=6721It was suggested that a lack of "grounding" might be responsible for these feelings, and that HEMATITE be used as a grounding tool. FWIW, I have used the Hematite as suggested, and these feelings, and others completely disappeared. Your mileage may vary.

Thank you! The thing that's suprising me is how many other people have experienced something similar. At first I felt sort of stupid posting it, but it's heartening to see that I'm not the only one to experience this :)
