I finished reading John Mack’s book, which I was in the middle of when I left for vacation. It’s a heavy book (in more ways than one) so I didn’t want to take it on my trip. I’m going to start this thread and write a little here and there based on the book and from a few other sources I’ve read. Everybody’s invited to join in with other info on this phenomenon, opinions, news, experiences, whatever you have to say.
Just in case you’re not familiar with John Mack, he was the Harvard psychiatrist and Pulitzer Prize winner who took the stories patients told about alien abductions seriously. He is such a mensch. I am so sorry we lost him to an automobile accident. Just from reading the book, one can tell what an exceptional, caring, intelligent, thoughtful, compassionate human being he is. There aren’t many like him.
World View
First, what I learned from this book has changed my world view.
Old view: when we die our physical death, we continue to live as a spirit in another dimension until we decide to reincarnate again, either on earth or another planet.
New view: same thing but add it is vastly more complex than I ever dreamed of. Example: the Bardo effect (not learned of in this book, but heard about elsewhere and recognized as a phenomena in the Mack book). Also, in my old view, I was somewhat of the opinion that there would be some relief from the pain and difficulty that comes with spiritual growth. I no longer think that. I think it could be difficult throughout our entire unending existence, which is not to say that there aren’t moments of bliss and joy and that it can’t be that way much of the time.
Another thing I’ve learned from this book is the value of being in this physical existence. It appears that certain ideas cannot be carried out except in the physical domain.
Levels of Energy
Also, as everyone here know, there are levels of energy. We are at the lower end of the spectrum, where energy is very dense. Some of the alien beings are at a higher energy, which explains how they can move from one dimension to another, thus sometimes they can disappear before our very eyes, either in their physical form as a humanoid or in their spacecraft. (Note: many UFO observers have reported spaceships just disappearing in the blink of an eye.)
And that is the beauty of what Mack has accomplished in this book. He has managed to bridge the divide between the physical and the spiritual. With aliens, they are both. It’s a hard concept for we earthlings to understand since we have this division between the physical and the spiritual. We don’t think there’s anything in between—but there is, and that is what aliens are.
What Happens in an Abduction
In each chapter of the book, Mack tells of his work with an abductee. He has chosen the abductees in a particular order. In the beginning, the patients he writes about are traumatized by their experience. Moving on in the book, the abductees toward the end were more broadminded about their experience. Some even welcomed the encounters with the aliens.
Two things go on in an abduction: first there is a physical exam and sometimes they implant something like what we would call a chip. This enables them to keep track of each person. There might be taking of sperm or implantation if the abductee is a woman. There were even cases where humans had to have sex with aliens. If this sounds shocking, wait until you hear that the humans who underwent this experience thought that the being they were having sex with was someone with whom they’d been close to in another life. (yeah, yeah, I know! This stuff really gets crazy!) In other words, they had sex with an alien whose spirit was someone with whom they may have been a partner with in another life. Oh and the sex wasn’t great, either. They were incredibly repulsed by it.
The second part of the abduction is that the person is shown something like what we’d call a movie. In some cases it is shown on the windows that look out the spacecraft. They can become like a TV. What the people see is what the aliens are telling us the future holds unless we change our ways: mass starvation, floods, the destruction of the earth and nuclear holocaust. No one is clear if this is the future or if this is a possibility.
Why Do Aliens Care About Earth?
Many people wonder why aliens would care what’s happening on earth. There are a variety of answers to that but one of the most interesting that Mack hypothesizes is that whatever happens on earth has an effect elsewhere in the cosmos. Think of a beautiful tapestry. If someone pulls threads from it, it is no longer beautiful. The threads are gone and to repair it is incredibly difficult and complex. Maybe even impossible. In wrecking the earth like we have, we are affecting the entire cosmos. This has generated huge concern from all types of beings with advanced intelligence. That is also probably why there are so many sightings going on now.
It doesn’t sound like the aliens have much faith that we can reverse what we’ve done to the planet. It appears they have a hybridization program and a new human species to repopulate once Mother Earth shakes us off.
However, those who have seen the children of this hybridization project are not impressed. The children are reported as “listless.”
Earth is a Highly Valued Planet
Our planet is special and very unique with its beauty. Abductees have been shown the home planets of some of the aliens and they are ugly planets. We are rich in genetic diversity.
In another post, I will write about what it is like to cross over from one dimension to another. I will use sources from Mack’s book but also a source from another book I read earlier this spring.
