8. Well, that almost brought me down, then just as quickly

I remembered Maya Angelou's, "I Know Why The Cage Bird Sing." Read practically the whole book trying to figure out what on Earth does that title have to do with her struggles and eventual triumphs? Then finally, the caged bird sings because it must! That spirit locked up looking out the window, watching free birds could either give up and die or draw up something from within itself that is joyful.

Our great country had (has) its very own cast system but it's never stopped those of us on the lower rungs from creating great music, art, literature, and inventions. I just think life is learning to connect with Spirit and be joyful and enjoy in spite of our tragedies :)
