Will you help me with some Tarot feedback/interpretation? |
|
Edited on Mon Jun-15-09 10:44 AM by RayOfHope
Let me start by saying I am very new to Tarot. Yesterday I did my first reading for myself, it was a simple 3 card spread.
Card 1: Daily card (important aspects of the day ahead) Card 2: Personal issues that require attention Card 3: Feelings/desires/reactions that could arise
My cards yesterday were Tower, The Devil, and the High Priestess
My cards today were Tower, Death, and the 6 of Pentacles.
I'd appreciate feedback from any of the more experienced readers here. I don't do so well with change or transitions (expected of unexpected), and I'm taking the tower cards into account and doing some introspection on why that is.

I'm glad you changed it to 6 of Pentacles.
The Tower is a big shakeup/change, whether or not you "do so well". That may be the reason the Tower is needed. You won't have a choice in the matter. Change is inevitable. But there is a choice involved. It will challenge your perspective. You will need to learn to rely more on your inner/higher self. Failure to do so will result in stagnation and 'dust'. However, when you do go to the inner self, you will find strength in what you now believe is weakness.

2. Thank you. I don't know why I typed 5, lol. |

Our interpretations were similar. I am taking this as a sign to view change in a more positive light and realize that I have the tools/knowledge within me to deal with what the Universe throws my way ;-) Life is full of change and it can only benefit me to learn to be more flexible and view things from a new perspective. I've been having quite a few spiritual epiphanies lately and I'm still pretty new on this journey. I'm just now getting used to listening to what my higher self is trying to teach me.
Thanks again!

3. I'm not well versed in Tarot (not at all, ackshually) |
|
but I did get an impression when I read your OP. I was struck by the fact that you pulled the Tower card both times--so you already know that you're faced with change--something you have to deal with "today", judging by its appearance in the "daily card" spot both times.
In the past week or so I've been keenly aware of change coming for all of us. Things are speeding up, and that means that sometimes those normally slow-moving apple carts are going to be tipped over as we go faster and faster around the curves in the road. So many of us are seeing it in our own lives, and we're also seeing it in world events (Iran).
The fact that you pulled Death and The Devil for your personal issues seems to indicate that you're going to have to face not only drastic external change, but drastic internal change. But all of these changes and challenges are good; we need to get ourselves into position for 2012 and whatever new reality we've chosen.
I'd say fasten your seatbelt; it's going to be a bumpy ride! But the scenery will be wonderful and our destination even more so.
Best of luck, RayOfHope! :hi:

That Tower in that position of the spread indicates to me that you are feeling "imprisoned" bound or even restricted by something in your day to day world. Sounds kinda lame to put it that way--because everybody has stuff that they feel holds them down--but this is some energy you are working with right now that is atypical for you. You may want to consider that and chew it over for a bit before you dismiss it. Sometimes we are our OWN Tower--is that what you are doing???
The Death card is frequently an indicator of a rapid transformation that is involuntary. An example of an involuntary change might be something like a job loss. Given the fact that you pulled Death one day and then The Devil the next I'm thinking there is something at issue here that you are concerned about having created by yourself--like maybe you are concerned about bad habits catching up with you or something like that. I joke sometimes that the Devil card represents our human failings or our FEARS of human failings. It isn't that you HAVE messed up, exactly, but that maybe you are worried that you COULD...
That High Priestess and Six of Coins are really positive cards in this reading, did you know that? The Lady represents knowledge and learning. Education, if you will. That Six of Coins is help of some sort. Those fall in the place in the spread where you are looking to what could arise. While knowledge sometimes comes with a bit of pain, it would seem to be kindly meant, so probably will not be terribly painful EXCEPT for the fact that it is coming from involuntary change.
Good luck to you. My final advice on this would be to roll with the day and try not to panic. Help when and where you can, and celebrate your gifts.

6. 1) A Tower like situation has been playing out in your life and needs to get resolved. |
|
The Tower, to me, indicates problematic circumstances that have gone past the point of no return and now can't get resolved through anything other than a bolt-from-the-blue type of event. Doesn't necessarily mean the resolution will come about in a traumatic way, but the Tower does tend to bring about sudden endings.
2) The Devil--uh, my feeling is you know what the problem is but are unwilling to face it. Addiction issues may be involved. Avoidance issues, too.
3) High Priestess, to me, suggests turning to the spiritual to understand the physical. It also indicates looking to a friend or counselor for help, and relying more on alternative solutions that conventional ones.
The other set of cards you pulled suggest to me that you are dealing with your current problem (or starting to deal with it) in a more constructive way, (Death instead of the Devil suggests submitting to the change instead of resisting it) and are going to be asking for (and possibly getting) some kind of or support in order to cope with the changes ahead.
