 Here I am! :hi: Thanks so much for finding this and giving a shout out! I'll head over there and take a look. I've had some *bad* feelings about the Red Cross (Rosicrucian), (for whatever reason, though since the initial decision, am now thinking they may have some connection to the Templars, which would change my perception), and would not have found it myself. The vision was so -ahem- off the wall!
Will get back to you. Thanks!

5. Is the "ladder" you saw |
|
Edited on Sun Jun-28-09 02:06 PM by Why Syzygy
for the image of "Horus raises a ladder to Heaven"?
I've resisted installing adobe pdf reader since I had to reformat my hard drive last week. So, I'm using an online conversion tool. It has successfully converted three files, but not the one that refers to "initiation", which is what I so far understand the "ladder" to refer to. Oh, it finally just arrived!
on edit: Frankly, I'm not interested in any forms of "initiation". It's odd I would see a vision of any intiation symbol, if that's what it was. I read through the initiation document, and it is the same kind of thing you get from Christianity; absolution from binding oneself to a god (Osiris/Jesus), proclaimed faultless at judgment after death, and eternal life. I have lived through the dark night of the soul. I haven't feared death for a very long time, if ever. So, I still don't know
Interesting, though...

Who knows where you were traveling in your dream...maybe there's some information pertaining to it that's useful for you?

I SHOULD have paid more attention to what followed and my dream that night! I'll know next time. I've been reading/listening to so much information about Egypt, maybe it just meant I was onto something with that.

or maybe just a reference to taking steps in a spiritual direction..or even, you could possibly relate what you've been through and learned about to the different steps. I was reading on the site last night, they're pretty specific about the several courses of study and what you are expected to learn each time. Just brainstorming here, sorry.

I hadn't seen that portion.
Like GTRO mentioned on the other thread, I strongly resist anything structured like that, and that tells me what to believe. I'm well versed in most of those topic areas.
I'm not at all going to accept anything that claims to be the end all be all for spiritual knowledge. Maybe to my own detriment  , but I don't think so. Many of the topics are labeled with "The Rosicrucian Method of ..." (for example "meditation"). There aren't a lot of things I have my mind made up about. But, after looking at differing forms of medication for 30+ years, meditation is one. It may be the same method? Or not. For me, Zen mindfullness is the only way to go.
My intention is not to come across as ungrateful or quite as stubborn as I really am. It's been a hard day, so please allow for any failings you might see in me right now.

what I'm saying is not that you need to follow a structure, but that maybe your own personal spiritual development has naturally followed the steps in a certain way,and your higher self was pointing that out? I'm not one for structure like that either..the study sounds interesting, but whenever someone sets down something even resembling 'course study' my eyes glaze over.

Yes, that it is exactly. The vision can certainly be taken in that context. I was very interested in what application it might have to any other Egyptian Ladders. So, any and all material is welcomed.
With the new study areas I have right now, ancient history and new biology, I feel I have quite a bit to absorb. I spent many years looking for that one silver bullet, ya know? Each time I found something, I was hoping it would be the -aha- to end all -ahas- . lol. Wouldn't that be a dreary place! One thing the 'new biology' proves without a doubt, is that nothing in the universe is static. Everything is energy in motion. Nature knows no stasis :D
It just now occurs to me that I am still climbing the ladder. And that is something I (we) will always do. Maybe I'll set a dream intention for more insight. There were three nights since then that I've dreamed of overbearing, controlling men who were tormenting not just me, but everyone else in the dream. In one of them, one of the other dream characters had a rifle aimed at this bad guy, wanting to shoot him and set us all free. A ladder can represent expansion, in the way it allows us to reach heights we would not otherwise be able.
It's been good to just talk this out a little.

14. sorry, I forgot you weren't asleep when you heard the phrase |
|
and I didn't realize you had been reading and listening to a lot of info about Egypt.
I thought you just were looking for info on the meaning of "Eyptian ladder" and I thought the picture in the R. site, and the articles on the Egyptian page, might be related.
Nor did I mean to suggest you need to follow the R. path. I thought the R. path could be related somehow to what you are doing on your own. Or something you had done in a past life. Or somehow related to your experience.
