I've been hearing 'alarms' like this for two or three years now, but here's another one. Anyone know anything? I'm going to dig a little and find out if it has some merit - but I thought I'd ask here too.

I have gotten so afraid of this happening before that I have lost sleep. I am actually grateful that you posted this. It does give us some historical background regarding some scary things that get floated around that don't happen. The reminder is helpful in keeping these things in context. I got so scared of this back around 2004-2005 that I was walking around in a complete state of agitation. I finally did a lot of searching around on the internet and was able to decide that the dire predictions probably weren't going to happen right then and it helped me wrench my mind from the worry.

This brings up a hard one for me. There is so much stuff that floats around, frightening stuff, deciding what is true, somewhat true, and just plain false gets very hard. And remaining balanced through it all is rough. There are things that I will not post on a message board, very small things, because I know I will have massive junk science thrown at me, or corporate propaganda. Then I can worry about if what I know is really true. Messy.
