I posted these links in a thread in the Lounge, but this sort of thing tends to put a lot of otherwise well-meaning people to sleep.

Most of you are either vets or GIs, so I'm assuming that you know the money that goes to these programs goes to help military families. If not, I just told you. :)

Good causes. I'm hoping that by posting this here, it'll stay up and be available for a while rather than just getting buried in the Lounge.

We donate to the paralyed veterans of america every 2 months. Does any of the money go to the vets of the Iraq war? Does anyone know?

I can't imagine how frightening and painful it must be for people with loved ones in or near Iraq right now. Please know that you are in my thoughts. And although I have never thought that Bush's war in Iraq was reasonable, justified, or moral, I am continually AMAZED at the courage and bravery of the soldiers there. I support our troops, but not the war. I hope your friends and family members come home safe and come home soon.
