Depleted Uranium? Family Seems to think so...
December 29, 2004
Metro Family Blames Death on War-Related Illness:

The family of a metro soldier fears he died from a war-related illness. They shared their story exclusively with NBC Action News.
35-year-old Army Sergeant Clay Garton spent 16-months in Iraq. His family says ammunition used by soldiers poisoned him. They claim he was exposed to depleted uranium dust during a rescue mission in Fallujah in May.
The government contends the health risks are low.
Clay’s dad Duane Garton says, "Thirty-five years I had the boy. He went through 16 months of hell, he come back, and they didn't do nothing for him. That's what I don't understand, why they couldn't do something for him. They just let him lay there and keep going down and down."
A memorial fund has been set up to benefit Clay Garton's three children. To donate, call the Raytown branch of the Bank of America at (816) 979-6292.

1. The Nation Magazine
did a good article on DU shells a couple of years ago. It can be found on their website, www.thenation.com. It was titled "The Pentagons Radioactive Bullet".

A lot of good info there.

3. Don't Even get me started..depleted uranium, killer and another
incident of this *&*$# nation wanting to be in denial. I can't tell you how many times I've spoken out on depleted uranium with about half the responses (not just here) trying to mitigate just how dangerously "radioactive" depleted uranium dust is and saying it is just "heavy lead"...uh huh, whatever!

something else of global concern to be worried about, along with the deaths of our troops due to depleted uranium IF they live to return from Iraq, along with the whole Middle East region already exposed...think dust doesn't blow about in the wind?

Pentagon denies, of course, who remembers Agent Orange.

Guess this is a rant more than a contribution. Tx for posting the story, I will be using it.
