SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The South Dakota National Guard says the 180 members of Bravo Battery are to return to Sioux Falls early Thursday afternoon after 10 months in the Middle East.

A welcome- home ceremony has been scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at the Elmen Center on the Augustana College campus.

Bravo Battery is officially known as Battery B, 1st Battalion, 147th Field Artillery headquartered in Salem and Sioux Falls.

Bravo Battery was stationed at Tallil Air Base in Iraq, about 193 miles southeast of Baghdad. They arrived in Iraq early in January and conducted security missions for the past 10 months.
