The VA just declared me 10% disabled! |
|
I got out of the Air Force nearly 28 years ago, but today they tell me the tinitus I have developed is considered service-related since I spent alot of time around F-4Es taking off with full afterburners. I am glad of this, since BushCo is screwing with the VA so badly right now.
Today I found out they are 'quadruple' booking veteran in out-patient labs, and 'double' booking most clinic visits. The poor folks at the VA are being worked WAY too hard! They provide great service, and, as one lab tech said today, "If he'd (Bush) send us the money he sends to Iraq in ONE DAY, the whole system would be fine!"
It is SAD that this IDIOT can send thousands to die and become seriously injured (not to mention PTSD) and then NOT provide for their care after their service!!!
I spent 5 hours in the VA today, and NOT ONCE did I hear ANYONE say a single good word about this administration. It's amazing to sit amoungst these older vets and their spouses, many, if not most, clearly NOT liberals, and hear what they really think of the Asshole in Chief.

6. They Love weapons being blown up! |

So then their Republican industrial munitions buddies can get big contracts to build new weapons that can then be blown up so that..........

2. Thank you for serving, Rick. |
|
It is a shame that this government asks so much of its service men and women, and then gives them so little back in return. It's a disgrace.
But I am thankful for brave people like you, who have done your duty to protect our country. We wouldn't have enjoyed the freedoms we have without you.

What worries me is the influx of new patients, young kids with Iraqi Freedom hats and jackets. I can only HOPE they get the same care I have recieved from the wonderful people of the VA.

4. Yes, but ... how many of these military and veterans voted for the boy king |
|
AND hated and disrespected President Clinton?
You get what you vote for. Sadly.
(Even sadder - these Repugs have screwed things up so badly and generated so much hatred there is now very little difference between the two parties.)
Don't mistake my words, I fully support the veterans and their care. I was profoundly against the closing of VA hospitals especially the Brecksville VA Hospital in Ohio.

5. Has there been a lot of change in the VA workers? |
|
Has the Republican Congress from 2000-2006 put a lot of their type of people in VA positions? Has the White house elected a lot of people who will push the Bush agenda at the VA? How do you reaserch that?
