Mom, child found stabbed to death in Brockton, father in custody

A Brockton mother and her young daughter are dead, the apparent victims of a gruesome double murder. The woman’s husband is in custody, a law enforcement source and witnesses said.

According to the law enforcement source, a woman and her daughter, who is believed to be 10 years old, were found brutally stabbed to death today in their first-floor apartment on Nillson Street in Brockton.

“He told me he just came back from the VA hospital,” Harraden said.

Harraden said the man told him he was a military veteran and that he was “having some problems.” Harraden said the man was wearing camouflage clothing and talked about his love of deer hunting when he met him last week.

“He said he loved shooting,” Harraden recalled. “The man also said that he sometimes had seizures and was out of work.” The man appeared to be in his early 40s, Harraden said.
