MADISON, Wis. — Another Wisconsin lawmaker has been called to Iraq.

Appleton Republican Roger Roth says his unit, the Wisconsin Air National Guard’s 115th Fighter Wing, will ship out in mid-January for a 120-day rotation.

Roth says other units may rotate in, allowing him to return to Wisconsin in March.

Assistant Assembly Majority Leader Mark Gundrum, a Waukesha Republican, was called to active duty in Iraq last year.

Roth and Gundrum’s departures reduce the Republican majority in the Assembly to 50-47.
