3. I've been to three conventions |
|
With American Atheists. Always had a good time, though some of the speeches can be a bit dull. But it's always a relief, for me, to have a few days with like minded people.

2. Sigh... we in the flyover states are just screwed this year. |
|
One's on the East Coast, one's on the West Coast.
One of these days, I hope the two orgs can get together and at least share a city for the conventions. It would be a good start.

8. Depends on who you ask |
|
The American Atheists Convention has always been held on "Easter" week-end. This year is the 31st annual. To the best of my knowledge, Atheist Alliance sprung up after some members of AmAth were dismayed with MMOH and Ellen Johnson's leadership and started another, mostly online, organization. I think this is only the Atheist Alliance's 8th convention. I truly wish the two org's would work this shit out and we could form an atheist community, instead of just organizations.
It seems to me to be a stupid cat fight. But, I think the Atheist Alliance should move their convention, since AmAth has pissing rights.

4. Kicking this to ask if anybody is going to attend |
|
I'll be there. Thought if any other DU'ers were attending we should say hello, have a drink.
