An atheist would have at least one built-in advantage. Nobody could ever tar you for associating with the wrong kind of religious nutjob. There'd be no John Hagee or Jeremiah Wright to worry about. Future Presidential candidates should learn something from these episodes and stop going to church *now* instead of later.

1. Well there are other kinds of nutjobs
Theoretically, if you were an atheist candidate for President would you wanted to be associated with Christopher Hitchens?
One doesn't need to go to Church to be associated with crazy people.

7. No, but nobody ever remembers to lump Ayn Rand
in with such a bad lot.

Atheism doesn't confer competence or invulnerability to the guilt by association game the right wing plays. We've got baggage of our own.

6. The RRRW would spend all of their time
trying to find out where they get their "moral values" from. After all, if they don't come from some book a person is automatically evil. :eyes:
