2. I mean, I know he has to kiss ass to pacify the evangelists, but come on, |
|
he could have at least mentioned the diversity of religions in this country.
The idiots that think he's a closet muslim aren't going to be swayed by his speech tonight, he could have dedicated one friggin' sentence.
It's just sad.

"Christian" president. How we are moving so far away from the founding fathers ideals (over 200 frickin years ago!!!) I just cannot understand. He was RAISED atheist!

I'm not sure of the exact time line, I wonder if he was pressured into it because it would help his career.

5. No surprise here either. |

His advisors probably made sure he would give a shout-out to dope-selling Communist child molesters before he acknowledged the atheists in the Democratic closet.
I'm sitting here observing a practical example of what happens when religion dominates a country. Last night at midnight, with almost NO warning, Egypt went off Daylight Savings Time. This was announced late yesterday afternoon by the government, AFAIK: "at midnight tonight we go off DST." Huh?
That's because Ramadan starts sometime next week, depending on when the moon appears. Going off DST means sunset will come earlier. And considering the ugliness you see here during the Great Holy Month, sunset can't come a minute too soon. During Ramadan I often see fist-fights in the streets between drivers, rushing to get home for the evening meal. They haven't eaten or drunk or smoked since before dawn, so these people are WIRED.
Ramadan is also the month when many Muslims get a lot more self-righteous and holier-than-thou. Perfect strangers will walk up and berate other perfect strangers for "un-Islamic" conduct. Fortunately they don't pull that crap on Westerners, or I'd be a-calling the American Embassy to help me with an Unfortunate International Incident...
Two years ago, the Supreme Islamic Council in Saudi Arabia managed to throw the whole Middle East into chaos. At the last minute, they changed the date of the Eid al-Adha holiday. All over the Muslim world, schedules had to be changed, trips cancelled, etc. etc. Absolute insanity.

Egypt seems very ... exotic, but not in a bad way. Your stories remind me of the ones my mom and dad would tell me whenever they spent time in the Middle East. Such a clash of cultures, both modern and stone age.
I wonder what it would be like if we gave South Carolina to the American Talibangevangelistas and they created their own country.

9. My mother is still in South Carolina... |
|
And always will be. I'd say give them Mississippi. No, the beaches are too nice. Maybe Nevada, except for the Las Vegas and Reno Free Sin Zones.
My mother is in some kind of imbroglio at the pre-school where she teaches, which is attached to a Baptist church. The Assistant Pastor seems to be giving her some grief. Her emails always refer to him as "the ASS. Pastor."

|
"god bless you and god bless America."
And I find that disgusting.

8. I know, I literally counted down the seconds. bb thought it was funny, but I wasn't laughing. |
|
Biden was worse but still. They're counting on the msm to repeatedly play back that bit at the end, and that it will reach those mythical "undecideds". :banghead:
