2005 Survey of Non-believers

Would you forward this announcement to members of your group?

I'm currently conducting a survey of non-believers across the US and
around the world.
No organizations are funding or sponsoring the study. It's an individual
project.
The survey results will be made freely available to the community of
non-believers upon completion.

There has unfortunately been pitifully little research conducted regarding
non-believers by non-believers. I'm hoping to change that. Assumptions
and assertions about non-believers abound, but outside of
anecdote or individual experiences and positions there is little known
about us. There are numerous further questions that could, and should be
asked. We need to know more, and assume less.

In 2003 I conducted a smaller survey of organizations focused on
non-believers. Those results may be found here:

I would like to invite any non-believers that this message may reach to
participate in the survey.

Follow the link provided, and enter a valid e-mail address (name fields
may be left blank)

An e-mail will be sent to the address provided with a link to follow to
complete the survey.
The e-mail address entered will be used for authentication purposes only
and will not be redistributed or otherwise abused.

Time to complete the survey averages 5-10 minutes.

P.S. If there are members of your organization without internet access who
would be interested in participating in the survey, please let me know how
many are interested, and I will work to send out paper versions of the
survey for you to distribute, collect and return in bulk packet.

Internet completion is preferred, as this alleviates expenses that I will
be paying out of pocket.

If you request paper versions, only request a sufficient number to
distribute to those in need of the paper version who state that they are
interested in completing it.

Each copy sent (if any) will be individually numbered for tracking purposes.

On edit. Interesting, thanks. I bookmarked this website. I was particularly interested in the location, Western North Carolina, since I've spent a lot time there and got the impression that most people were fairly religious. Thanks so much for this information.:-)
