Eight cable channels.
Count 'em. 8.

In English and Spanish, 24/7 with someone either hopping mad about something or "healing" someone (Benny Hinn) or asking for dough in the name of the Lord. Or all of the above.

1. Have you ever noticed how the evangelical preachers dress like hicks?
None of them seem very photogenic (maybe it is just me), and they dress like they borrowed someone's suit to go out to a fancy dinner.

2. If you liberal elitists wouldn't oppress them so much
there would be a proper amount...100%

:sarcasm:

3. I'm going to go kick my dead tv
one more time for that.
(I killed it months ago-the voices told me to)

4. Awww! Then you missed THIS winner!
"The Other Side Of Heaven." Wherever the other side of heaven is, they sure know how to make movies that suck.

In a nutshell...cough...in the Fifties a white-bread American boy goes off to bring the superior Mormon superstition to Tongans, who unfortunately have an inferior superstition.

He raises a child from the dead! He miraculously walks after rats chew on his feet! Native woman wants him to make boom-boom with beautiful daughter so she can have light-skinned baby!

And how about this miracle--he makes the Evil Nekkid Tongans all wear that white-shirt and clip-on tie combination favored by Mormon missionaries on their fucking bicycles! WHOA!

If you're looking for a light family Disney-type movie in the rental store, do not be fooled by this POS.

It has the "Disney" logo on the box and is marketed as "a great family movie." But the production money came from a BIG Mormon outfit.

It's propaganda, pure and simple. Check out the IMDB comments on it, which were obviously spammed by Mormons and other Christ-o-philes.

Did I rent this thing? Hell, no, I'm not that dumb. It's playing on cable right now. I watched for a few minutes until I was nearly overcome by the stench of religious proselytizing, then checked it out on IMDB.

5. And the fundies think
Spongebob is evil?
Remind me to thank my dad for not allowing us to watch all of that crap when we were growing up. I didn't understand why then but I do now.

Did you consider leaving your own comments? We could form a club, yeah! Type evil atheist dogma in the reviews, take a picture before it gets deleted and then post it here!

WHat do you think?

6. I thought about it...
I guess you have to register with IMDB to leave comments. If I'm feeling ambitious, maybe I will.

For that movie, the only snarky comments are right at the beginning. Then they got drowned out by the TEN STARS crowd.

I just know I'm reading an objective review when it includes information like: "Being a Mormon myself and a former missionary in El Bumfuck, Nicaragua..."

7. Yes, that ALWAYS
lends more creedence to their words.
I am inspired by JC General's reviews on Amazon, I keep meaning to do the same with our local paper but there's only so much time in a day.

8. Only 8 channels?
No wonder they feel so persecuted! We should start up our own "religion-free" channel. I think it would be wildly popular.

I just thought about how cool it would be to have a weekly show where 8-10 of us sit around in a room and read portions of actual TV sermons or websites and have a ball pointing out their inconsistencies and stupid logic.

9. It took me
about 20 minutes to delete all the christian channels and fox news from my tv although they aren't deleted permanently I don't have to watch them if I flipped by accidently.

10. When I stayed in a hotel last month, I reprogramed the TV to skip Fox News
I thought that was just such a hoot.

12. I'd like to...

...leave the Faux News soundtrack blaring over the hotel TV. But have the video switch intermittently to hard-core porn for a few seconds. Talk about driving 'em crazy...

13. Nah, that's how wingnut guys watch TV already
Alternating the FauxNews with porn. You'd just be making it easier for them.
