1. Ew.
How sick are these people?
And parents worry about video games being violent?

hey there DrPepper!

Your eagerness to be a holy warrior reminds me of the angel named 'Guilo' in a Frank Perretti book called "This Present Darkness"....He was a super eager angel soldier who eagerly anticipated the time when he could strike demons......(he is constantly being restrained by his commander angel, Tal)
the thing that is neat about the concept in the book is that throughout the story....the saints' prayers would become more frequent and in larger numbers.....that would empower the angels' swords.......finally by the end Guilo's sword is super flaming and awesome...and he is finally given the ok (from above)to go to war..................
I won't give away too much...but it is awesome to read...just makes you realize there is a whole other dimension of activity going on.....and how important prayer is.........

"Guilo's sword is super flaming and awesome" ???
Is anyone else picking up on the symbolism?

3. Yeah. That guy's got issues.
Coming under the rod of God is a PAINFUL AND GRIEVOUS experience for proud rebellious man. This is especially true in the case of proud domineering individuals who think more highly of themselves than they ought to.

I bet he had a woody when he was writing that.

"Proud and domineering?"

Sound like any people we know?

Hint: they think they've been given dominion over the Earth to totally ruin it. Believe they speak directly to the Supreme Invisible Ruler Of The Universe. Are sure that someday, Every Knee Shall Bow And Every Wallet Shall Open.

Etc.

If you're easily nauseated, don't visit this website.

Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 09:35 AM by Beetwasher
It's just so childish...

Personally, I prefer D&D, and my Barbarian-Shaman can beat the shit out of any of those angel soldiers...He's got a plus 4 battleaxe and gauntlets made from Tiamat's claws (think Wolverine).

6. Someone should show them the difference between fantasy and reality.

I sometimes wonder how people like that can get thru life in the world of reality without going completely unhinged. It must take some real control to keep the two versions of life separated. Of course, those who have trouble keeping them apart are called schizophrenics.

The one advantage schizophrenics have over normal people is that they are never lonely. There's always some voice telling them what to do.

I group up in an ultra conservative Dispensationalist family, and they never talked like this. I swear, JN Darby was the greatest fuck up to ever walk the earth.
