http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/9/22/14739/8310All of this on the heels of Senator Kerry's moving and eloquent speech about faith and morals tells me that THIS is the moment of truth for the Democrats. The blogs are READY to fight. Who will lead the cause in the Senate is the question.

1. Someone needs to send the"bat signal" out on this |
|
The same sort of bat signal that resulted in JK commenting on that DKos thread.
We're ready for our marching orders; all we need is a general.
I remember how worried I was about Alito and how euphoric I was when I saw Kerry stand up, alone. I'd love to have that experience again.

2. OMG - I didn't see that comment |
|
that JK made on that other thread. After seeing your post here I went and found it. Wow, that was nice.
About the "torture" bill - Personally, I haven't read the "compromise" bill yet, and I'm withholding judgment until I do. :hide: But I think if it really is as odious as lefty blogs are claiming (*if*) then I hope JK or someone will at least make an attempt at a filibuster.
If it's that bad I'm sure JK won't vote for it. Even if it's not "that bad", I wish the Democrats would find a way to push off the vote until after Nov 7 - give it plenty of time for real debate. What's the rush, anyway, is what they should be asking.
