Kerry did not answer to me personally. I wont vote for him. |
|
I guess this one is a new one (of course from somebody who was not supporting Kerry in the first place), but is outraged that Kerry did not spend an hour of his time to read HER letter (out of the hundred of letters he receives every day) and answer point by point.
People will never stop to surprise me.

You know, LevonsonK was onto something here, if I may quote:
What a shame that such positive rallying cries sink so quickly whereas the unproductive, harping, navelgazing whine fests attract hundreds of like-minded posters like flies on shit.
This isn't an ego thing, but why did my original reporting of a Democrat doing good sink at Kos, while the whine fests always make the Rec Lists?
I'm beginning to think that posters on these blogs only type. A LOT of them don't do a damned thing on the ground. That poster claims to have been a delagate, but if someone is so busy whining on the blogs, do they really have time to do positive work for the party?

2. My DKos Darfur diary sunk like a stone, too |

Says a lot about the priorities of "lefty" bloggers, doesn't it?
To paraphrase:
human rights, praising Democrats = boring
tearing down Democrats, trashing Republicans = awesome

4. Oh, I never saw that, WEL |

Be sure to advertise here, because I really like your writing, and sometimes it DOES help when fellow Kerrycrats rec each other's work that we find commendable. Sometimes, that's what gives it the extra push that will bring it to the top. I swear, though, that traffic is WAY down at dKos, because I think all of us have had better luck in the past, and now suddenly none of us can make the Rec List.

5. It seems to be one of the downside of the left blogosphere |

Unfortunately, it does attract naysayers and counterproductive crybabies. They get a sense of empowerment by creating strife and unease among other posters. Luckily, these brave keyboard warriors tend to be just that; keyboard warriors, and the extent of their efforts don't tranlate into any substantial real life undertakings. As long as we recognize them for what they are, and only spend a minimal amount of time (for the benefit of lurkers) setting them straight, we have nothing to fear from them. Also, the only time they ever spent helping a candidate - a claim which they all seem to have in common - is sending a form e-mail or signing an online petition. Anything that requires them to leave the safe, anonymous confines of their living rooms or parents' basements is too much to handle.

comes to mind for these people. I think you're correct about these posters only posting. Which is a good thing. It keeps them from doing any substantial harm out in the real world.

7. Oh yeah, well my basement sort of puddled up last year |

and he and Uncle Ted where nowhere, I mean nowhere to be found. (Okay, they were in Lawrence and Lowell and Peabody and Andover, but still, they did not come to my house with mops or bleach or anything. Geez, and here I am a bona fide constituent. The nerve of some people's children.)
Ahm, I don't generally write them a lot of letters as I figure they have better things to do than sit around and listen to me pontificate about stuff I really don't know much about. But should I ever write a letter again and not get flowers, chocolates and accolades, I'm gonna be mighty pissed off.
You know, I am beginning to think that this is the only group on DU that wouldn't require a :sarcasm: in order for the intent to be understood here.
Sigh!
